Does an Airsoft gun hurt?

It depends on the weight and speed of the bb, measured in FPS (feet per second). Low end spring guns may feel like a small pinch <300 fps. Medium grade AEG's will feel like a larger pinch, and may welt if you shoot up close 300-450 fps. High powered spring rifles will usually welt and are not allowed to be shot upclose 500+ fps.

Are airsoft gun wars dangerous?

Airsoft guns are perfectly safe if used properly. Safe use of airsoft guns requires using at least eye protection. Full face protection is recommended.

Airsoft target practice does not require full face protection. Some form of eye protection is still recommended to guard against ricochets. Using targets that trap BBs or sticky targets that are often included with the gun decreases the likelihood of ricochet.

Eye protection should be in the form of goggles or masks that fit without leaving gaps. Paintball masks work well, but there is also airsoft-specific equipment on the market now. A layer of fabric is enough to stop an airsoft BB, so goggles and a balaclava can work as well. Normal clothing is also enough to protect skin.

Fabric gloves are also recommended. A BB striking a bare knuckle will hurt. In addition to safety equipment game rules usually prohibit shooting at close ranges, substituting a tap with a hand that counts as a "knife kill". Some players actually use soft rubber training knives for this.

Shooting an airsoft gun at an unprotected person is not safe. Some of the higher-powered guns at close range can chip a tooth or break skin. An airsoft BB fired at an unprotected eye, even from a low-powered spring gun, can cause serious damage, just like any other projectile. A shot to an unprotected eye from a high-powered gun at point blank range is potentially lethal. However, so is sticking a pencil in the eye.

An important safety consideration is the fact that airsoft guns can be very realistic and scare people who are not aware of them. Keep the orange tips attached to make them look less like a real gun. Do not point the guns at people not involved in your game. If the police show up keep your hands visible and away from the gun. Better yet, put it down and take a couple of steps back.

As with most other things in life, do not do obviously stupid things and you will be OK.

What is a good cheap airsoft pistol?

S&W 41 the term pistol actually refers to an autoloader but i assume you mean any handgun - i have probably shot more off the shelf handguns and more ammo than most people and have found for uncustomised guns the very best target handgun is the TC contender single shot with interchangeable barrels and calibers - the barrels come in 14 and 10 inch length and can be easily topped with any type sighting system without any custom work at all best of all one TC contender can be used with multiple calibers - i have 22 LR and 22 magnum for target and small game, 44 magnum for hunting big game, 223 for long range target and to shoot the same round as my AR-15, and a custom made 360 schafer magnum that shoots a 30 caliber in a necked down 444 case and is as powerful as you can "control" in a handgun - all this from one handgun

Answer 3: Best target pistol for what purpose? If you mean for formal bullseye competition, you need either an autopistol or a revolver, something able to fire a minimum of five shots. Autopistols are almost universal amongst serious target shooters these days, although in the old days they tended to use revolvers such as the Smith and Wesson "K-22," still available today more or less as the Model 617. I've shot revolvers in competition myself, and it's a bit embarrassing because everyone else has to wait for you in loading or unloading, but there's nothing in the rules that says you can't. In autopistols you can pay as much as you want. Some of the Hammerli models, from Switzerland, are absolutely excellent and breathtakingly costly. The Smith and Wesson Model 41 that was mentioned first is excellent; I believe it has outlived two or three replacements now. It's a thousand-dollar gun. I haven't shot a Hammerli Trailside, but I've read that it's an excellent beginner's piece for about $400. And I would be remiss not to mention the Ruger .22 target pistols. They're very common as a shooter's first target pistol, if you get one of the "target" versions and not the cheaper "standard." They're long-lasting, reliable, and are competitive enough that people have won major competitions shooting them-- with modifications, of course.

"Modifications" should go without saying, because if you ever do get up to the high levels of target competition whatever you shoot will probably be customized and modified to the max. I don't think this is strictly necessary. Most of these target pistols will shoot better than any of us can, once you find the brand of ammo they like. But modifying a competition gun seems to be a "bug" that nobody can resist. It increases the shooter's confidence, I suppose, and confidence is a big part of shooting well.

Are air soft guns considered firearms?

Airsoft guns are generally not considered firearms in most jurisdictions. While they resemble real firearms in appearance, they typically function using compressed air or gas to propel non-lethal plastic pellets. The distinction between airsoft guns and firearms is primarily based on the fact that airsoft guns are designed for recreational purposes and are not intended to cause significant harm or be used as weapons. However, it's important to note that the classification of airsoft guns can vary by jurisdiction, and some regions may have specific laws or regulations regarding their possession, use, or transportation. It's advisable to familiarize oneself with the local laws and regulations regarding airsoft guns in a particular area.

How do you remove the orange tip off a airsoft gun?

DO NOT REMOVE YOUR ORANGE TIP FROM AN AIRSOFT GUN! It is illegal and you can and will be arrested. It is counted as a felony. Another reason is because it now looks like a real weapon, and if police mistake it for one, they have authority to take you out...and then your dead. I don't think you'd want that.

How much is a airsoft gun?

The cost of airsoft guns varies greatly. It all depends on your budget and what kind of quality you are looking for. If you want to, you could buy a very low quality plastic spring pistol on Ebay.com that shoots about 20ft. These will cost a few dollars. However, airsoft guns can cost anywhere from a couple dollars to $3,500. Guns at this high price range are exclusive, like the echo 1 minigun. However there is everything in between. For $80-$150 you can get very good airsoft guns that are decent quality.

Is there any way to repair an airsoft gun battery that was accidentally charged with the incorrect charger?

I've asked my friend, a lecture in electronics engineering, he said that overcharging is the main cause that leads a battery to failure (neither it's NiMh, NiCd, or LiPo) or shorten its life, not the "memory effect" itself. Overcharging can cause crystal to be built in the battery cell/cells. The more we overcharging it (longer the time or do it several times) the more the cell/cells will be broken. If you only overcharged it once, its still be ok. If you have LiPo battery, I suggest you yo buy a balancer to be use with your charger. It will prolong battery service. There are several way to repair broken battery. I've read that we can short-circuiting Ni-Cd battery in order to get it back to work, but the chance is only 50%. So it's definitely NOT a choice. The latest news I heard is we can use a smart charger-balancer that can "fix" broken cells in LiPo battery.

What are some airsoft game types you can play with only four or five people?

Free For all is a fun game, but VIP is a better one. VIP is when one person has no gun or a pistol, that person is the VIP. Then one person is on their team with any type of gun, and must guard the VIP with their "life". They are know as the Guard. Then the third person is trying to kill the VIP. In order to be safe, you must kill the enemy, or reach the safe point. You can decide where the safe point is

Rules:

- If VIP is shot, you lose and the enemy wins.

- If enemy shot, you win.

- If Reached safe point, you win.

- If guard is shot down, continue game but VIP is vulnerable.

Hope this helps,

Justin

Is airsoft gun legal in Fort Worth tx?

Airsoft guns are illegal in Fort Collins because they are so deadlly. exept in two circumstances:

1. For self defence and home protection and life or death situations

2. Hunters are able to posses the guns during hunting season with a valid tag for big game only and not small game. It is illegal to hunt small game with airsoft guns do to the fact that a small game animal would explode if shot because of the amount of muzzle energy an airsoft gun exerts.

3. JUst to be on the safe side be sure to contact your local sheriffs department if planning on obtaining one.

Hope this answers your question///////// All of this is B.S. airsoft guns are not used for hunting and its not cause their to powerful in fact the opposite the FPS (350 avg) does not come close to a bb gun or .22 cal gun both those are 700 FPS to 1200 fps. Airsot guns are
TOYS would not recommend getting one for self defense or home protection as the FPS and the fact its a plastic bb ARE NOT AND WILL NOT HELP YOU IN PROTECTION.

Does a spring air soft rifle need a co2 tank?

There are some pistols that are meant to use both (like the KJW Xcelerator) and some gas guns that can be modded to use CO2 (this usually requires reinforcement of all parts involved in the gas system and sometimes even the slide because of the higher power of CO2), but most gas guns can't handle it. I would recommend buying a gun that comes able to do both out of the box, because modding one is a pain, but it is nice to be able to use either one (use a gas mag at close range and switch to CO2 if you are shooting further).

Can you reuse airsoft revolver shells?

Yes, airsoft shells are refillable, being made of hard plastic and a hole to insert bb's in.
