Can you safely shoot a 243 caliber bullet from a 410 gauge?
Hell no. .410 is not a gauge it is a caliber. True gauge is a measurement of the number of lead balls of bore diameter that constitute a pound. The .243 bullet is a lot smaller than the diameter of a .410 barrel. There are some .410's that can shoot 45 colts but not all can.

There are more than a dozen different .38 caliber cartridges. Most of them are obsolete- however, there are 2 that are still fairly common. The one that may be called a .38 Short (incorrectly, but they do get called that) is the .38 S&W. This is shorter and fatter than the .38 Special cartridge, and does not interchange with it.

It is possible, however "not preferable" is drastically understating the seriousness of it. If you put the wrong caliber cartridge in a handgun, you can possibly damage the gun and/or hurt yourself, so it isn't "not preferable." INSTEAD, it is a really, really bad idea that you should never try.

No, it wouldn't even come close to fitting and would be very dangerous even if it did. One can only use the ammo a firearm is chambered for.

Yes, the black powder and fulminated mercury found in bullets are very unstable compounds and can be made to explode by numerous means. For example: if you throw a bullet or bullets into a bon-fire they will explode, hitting a bullet with a hammer is never a good idea, sending an electric current through a bullet is like-wise a bad idea.

Technically, a 9mm bullet has NO energy, since the bullet is the metal part that leaves the muzzle of the gun when fired. However, the 9mm Parabellum cartridge does have energy. The exact energy varies with the loading of that cartridge- but about 420 ft lbs of energy at the muzzle. Typically this is more than a .38 Special cartridge, less than a .357 Magnum cartridge.

No. The SKS fires a 7.62x39 cartridge, but actually uses a .311 bullet. The 7.62 x51 is too long for the SKS action, the chamber of a SKS is too short for the cartridge, the power of the 51 is too high for the SKS action, and the bullet of the 7.62x51 is actually .308, not .311. Does not match up in any way.

No. A smaller caliber will either not fire at all, or will split the cartridge casing if it does fire.

There is a tool made just for this purpose. It uses inhertia to remove the bullet. RCBS makes them the look like a hammer and are referred to as a bullet puller.
