if prince is one of your neighbors, you first have to find the fossil. if the fossil is a particular one (i.e. ankylo torso) find it by digging up stars.(on the ground, the little...dig spots?) if you find a fossil under one star, show it to blathers. then if you eventually find the right one, give it to prince. but if prince just said "fossil", then you dig up any fossil and give it to him without giving it to blathers.

Sadly, there is no way of bringing them back once they leave. However, if you notice that a neighbor has boxes all over, talk to them! They will tell you that they are moving, so pick the bottom response every time. If you do it enough, they might stay. Or you can also send them a letter and they usually won't leave.
no there is a way, i am somebody else by the way but you have to have a friend with an animal crossing ww game to do this if they leave without you knowing or if they say that theyre moving no matter what, they will most likely move to the other game card.so now you just have to visit them a lot and they might move back
