I've had a baby brown anole for a few months now and the only thing I have found small enough to feed her are flightless fruitflies. They can be purchased at most Petco's and online. They are the size of a normal fruitfly, but are unable to fly.

The anloe does not like or sould i say the lepord frog does not like the anole. It will eat them if it had the chance. Sometimes the anole does not like others of its species. But most of the time it has no problem. I have gotten anoles at different times and they have not had any problems with each other. -- Sometimes a large full grown anole will eat a small baby, but not often. In the wild, its pretty much any carnivore: Raccoons, stray cats, snakes, etc.

one of the adaptations is it can change colors due to the tempature or how it,s feeling (mad or scared, hot or cold also some other feelings) I have a question what is another adaptation of the green anole

I am not sure HOW they shed there skin but im pretty sure its natural. If there are getting tired of shedding they'll probably start rubbing what part of there body is shedding on a rock/ a hard substance.

It depends on what kind of geckos you have. But, besides a few species, geckos are known for their unique "language" of noises.

If it is light brown for a while when you don't bother it, it usually means that your anole could be shedding. Confirm if it is a male or a female,the male has a dewlap,a red under his neck. He is also bigger. Leave them in the cage together. In a week check for eggs. They mate and break up in a few minutes. The male will bob his head and show his dewlap. He will bite the females neck and climb on top of her.

No, Anoles are NOT poisonous. In fact, a lot of people keep anoles as pets. They are easy to take care of and they can survive in FREEZING cold temperature and BOILING hot temperature. They live through hurricanes, tornados, they are so easy to take care of. A cap full of banana baby food will be good for about 2 weeks for food! Its amazing! Also, there are only two types of poisonous lizard in the world, the Mexican Beaded Lizard and the Gila Monster.

Anoles are solitary animals in the wild and they don't need companions or friends. Its best to keep one anole lizard by itself then with another anole.

No two different species of lizards should ever be housed together. It is dangerous to their health. Disease spreads easier to different species and its common that they will fight.

If you must have another lizard housed with an anole then a house gecko would be the best. They are very similar in size and requirements. Be sure to do research on both before hand though.

Anoles are egg layers. Occasionally when they are on the glass near their lamp and the light is passing through them, you may see an egg near their vent a day or two before they lay it. They do not get pregnant in the same sense as a mammal does though.

They are insectivores so they eat almost anything for example moths, crickets, wax-worms, super-worms, earthworms, gnats, roaches, fruit-flies and things of that nature. They do not eat pill bugs (Rolly Polly) fireflies box-elders (anything bright in color) butterflies beetles mosquito hawks spiders meal-worms and stuff like that.

If you have a brown anole it is usually severelly stressed which might have to do with other anoles it is living with, tempereature of habitat, food etc.

Actually, the OP could be referring to a consistently brown species such as a Bahaman anole.
