Humans (Homo sapiens) are a part of the Animal Kingdom, and belong to the order of primates.
What is the second largest ape?
The second largest extant primate (by average body mass) after the gorilla is the orangutan. Male orangutans commonly weigh over 100 kg (220 lb), and in some cases may approach 130 kg (285 lb) or more.
If we are talking about Ethan the gibbon who lives/ed at Twycross Zoo, UK, and got tv fame for picking up coloured plastic balls for selecting football teams to win matches...then yes, Ethan the gibbon is an ape.
There are reasons to believe that homosapians (humans) are related in the distant past to the ape family
How did carl linnaeus classify humans with apes?
He didn't classify us as APES. He classified us as Mammals. He did this because of the relation between the research on animals he conducted. However, you are right on one point. We do come from apes, but he didn't classify us as them.
What are the ten things that have evolved out of humans?
Nothing evolved from humans. As of now, we are the highest on the evolutionary chain. At least, for now we are.
Are apes and gorillas the same?
Not exactly. Gorillas are apes but not all apes are gorillas. Apes are defined as primates in one of the following groups. The lesser apes (aka gibbons) belong to the family Hylobatidae. The great apes (aka gorillas, orangutans, chimps and humans) belong to the family Hominidae.
How would you describe frequency in advertising?
Frequency refers to the average number of times that an average consumer is exposed to the advertising campaign.
If man evolved from monkeys why are monkeys still here?
Humans did not evolve from monkeys. Humans are more closely related to modern apes than to monkeys, but we didn't evolve from apes, either. Humans share a common ancestor with modern African apes, like gorillas and chimpanzees. Scientists believe this common ancestor existed 5 to 8 million years ago. Shortly thereafter, the species diverged into two separate lineages. One of these lineages ultimately evolved into gorillas and chimps, and the other evolved into early human ancestors called hominids.
Homo Sapiens (Humans) genetically are still about 98% chimpanzee. Different species branched off and evolved differently according to the conditions around them. We either adapt or become extinct. In a way, one could say that humans are just one of the monkey-type species that still exist today.
---
Same reason bacteria, fish and other ancient lineages are still here, there is still a niche they fill adequately. Evolution doesn't necessarily replace the previous forms, just as you didn't replace all of your cousins, they just went their own way.
---
We didn't.
The DNA overlap between humans and pumpkins is 75%. We share 93% with fruit flies. We are not pumpkins. We are not fruit flies. We are not monkeys.
The human genome has around 3 billion base pairs, each of which stores two bits (to indicate one of four bases).
That's 6 billion bits. 6,000,000,000 (6 Billion) x.02 (2%) = 120,000,000 (120 Million)
That's a lot to work with. The majority of DNA just tells cells how to build, replicate, and function. So while every living thing has similar building blocks, that does not make them the same creature (or evolved from the same creature.)

Evolution theory is the best theory we've got to explain the fossils and similarities between species. However, this doesn't go along with the Bible and creationism so people (like the one who wrote the answer above) who are theists don't like to believe in evolution. They usually like to affiliate evolution to 'man evolved from monkeys' and define it like that. Actually man just has a common ancestor with other primates. All creatures originally evolved from the same species, according to the theory of evolution.
---
Funny, the Bible and Creationism was never mentioned in that post. Nowhere in your anti-religion rant did you bring any actually argument, backed by scientific, historical, or theistic evidence. You've effectively bastardized the Spark Notes of Darwin's theory of evolution, minus correct punctuation.

There isn't a specific end result in evolution. Humans branched off from some sort of ape, but that doesn't mean that all of the apes must evolve into humans. Some evolved into gorillas, some into chimpanzees, others became orangutans, and so on.
We evolved from apes, not chimpanzees as such. Chimpanzees belong to the same subfamily as us (Homininae). They are the closest living evolutionary relatives to humans and we have 94% identical DNA to them.
In ape escape on the loose how do you get the monkey of the shark?
Swim in the water and shoot the net at the monkey when the shark turns around.
How long does it take a ape to grow from a baby to adult?
The time it takes for an ape to grow from a baby to adulthood varies by species. For example, chimpanzees typically reach adulthood around 12 to 13 years of age, while gorillas can take about 10 to 15 years. Orangutans generally mature slower, often becoming adults around 7 to 12 years. Overall, the development period can range from 7 to 15 years, depending on the species.
How would you describe a multiuser database?
A multiuser database may exist on a single machine, such as a mainframe or other powerful computer, or it may be distributed and exist on multiple computers. Multiuser databases are accessible from multiple computers simultaneously.
Orangutans build their nests for protection and for warmth. They will build a nest every night. This usually takes up to 30 minuets or more. They will occasionally use one twice or more.

How would you describe assortment in the marketing channel?
In marketing channels, assortment is often described as the smoothing function. The smoothing function relates to how raw materials are converted to increasingly more refined forms until the goods are acceptable for use by final consumers.
Do apes cry when another ape dies?
Apes mourn the loss of those that were close to them. Much like humans, the way they mourn varies in each individual. In one case, a chimp refused food for a few days and would not leave her nest while grieving the loss of her male counterpart.
Are any of the orangutans from the show orangutan islsnd on Animal Planet still alive?
As of my last update in October 2023, many of the orangutans featured in "Orangutan Island" on Animal Planet have passed away, as the show aired several years ago. However, some may still be alive, but specific information about individual orangutans' current status would need to be verified through recent sources or updates from the conservation organizations involved. For the most accurate and current information, checking with the organizations that manage these orangutans would be advisable.
