The Assassin's Creed Series is about a man called Desmond Miles who ran away from his parents and went to a place called 'The Farm' and was raised as a modern day assassin there. A few years later, Desmond is captured by these people called the Templars which are Desmond's enemies in the game and the 'Templars' are looking for certain objects called the 'Pieces of Eden'.

At the start of the first Assassin's Creed game you start in a machine in the 'Animus' which has the ability to project Desmond's mind into his ancestors i.e; 'Altair Ibn-Al Ahad' who lives in Israel & Syria which is the person you play as. At the start of Assassin's Creed 2 your friend Lucy Stillman (Also and Assassin) frees you from the hands of the Templars and takes you to the Assassin's first hideout which has another machine called the 'Animus 2.0' and two other assassin's whose names I have forgotten. In the Animus 2.0 you play as 'Ezio Auditore Da Firenze in Italy'.

During Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Desmond & co. have been compromised by the Templars and drive to there second hideout which they call 'The Cabin'. when you once again get into the Animus 2.0 you play as Ezio where you left off at the end of Assassin's Creed 2. That is all the information I can tell you or else i will ruin the story for you but if you want to find out buy the game!

first of all, there are 30 codex pages. once you buy a treasure map for each area, they are marked as treasure(white diamond shapes). the ones that are surrounded by guards are usually the pages.
