Take the rooftops, because there are less archers and snipers on rooftops than agiles on the ground. DON'T jump from a high roof to the water. You might have a whole street to jump across.(Doesn't matter if you have a parachute). Stay on the ground when you jump. Don't bother using a canoe, it takes too much time to find one and you can still get shot. Dive.

The lair isn't around the tents. its actually below it. look around the area until you find a deep empty pool. the only way to access it is to repair the aqueducts around the area and it will fill up a pool allowing you to reach the lair entrance.
