What does immersion during baptism represent?
Christians follow different beliefs and understandings about how Jesus was baptized, and these beliefs inform how Christians undertake the act of Holy Baptism today. Many Christians believe John the Baptist baptized Jesus by immersing (or submerging) Him in the Jordan River. Thus, the most faithful re-enactment of that event would be for today's Christians to be immersed (or submerged) in a body of water.
However, there are certain impracticalities associated with that effort. Notably, people who live in colder climates cannot realistically re-enact a river-style, total-immersion baptism. So, many Belivers opt for a form that is not totally immersive, believing that the act itself is not as important as the faith declaration and statements of belief that surround the act.
In the Eastern Orthodox Church, the Catholic Church and in most (but not all) protestant denominations baptism is performed in the name of the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and historically and still today in Eastern Orthodoxy this would coincide with not one, but three immersions confirming a "Trinitarian" baptism.
How many times was Jesus tempted by Satan just after His baptism?
Jesus was tempted three times by satan in the wilderness.
Answer
In the original account, in Mark's Gospel, there is no suggestion of a number of temptations, simply a narrative that Jesus was tempted by Satan, while being ministered by angels.
The hypothetical 'Q' document elaborates on this, with detailed accounts of Satan tempting Jesus three times: to make stones into bread to eat; then taking Jesus up into a mountain and showing him all the kingdoms of the world, to be his to rule if he worships Satan; finally taking him to Jerusalem and sitting him on a pinnacle of the Temple and saying to prove he is the Son of God by jumping down and surviving. Luke's Gospel reflects the additional material in 'Q'. Matthew has the same three temptations by Satan, but reverses the order of the last two.
There are four reasons why we must be baptized:First, we must be baptized if we want to be saved. Jesus Himself said: "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned"(Mark 16:16). The apostle Peter said: "There is also an antitype which now saves us-baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ" (1 Peter 3:21).Second, we must be baptized if we want to have our sins forgiven. The Bible says: "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit" (Acts 2:38).Third, we must be baptized if we want to be in Christ. To be "in Christ" means "to be a Christian." The Bible says: "For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ" (Galatians 3:27). Fourth, we must be baptized if we want to become a member of the body of Christ. The body of Christ is the church of Christ (Ephesians 1:22,23). The Bible says: "For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body..." (1 Corinthians 12:13). HOW SHOULD ONE BE BAPTIZED? There are two ways by which churches baptize people today. One is by pouring or sprinkling water on the person's head. The other is by burying or immersing a person in water. Which one is correct baptism? The Bible gives the answer. In the Bible baptism is called a burial. "…we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life" (Romans 6:4). If we want to bury a dead body, we will not sprinkle a little dirt on the head. We will cover the body completely. Baptism is a burial. Sprinkling water on the head of a person does not baptize him. He must be completely buried under the water. "Now John also was baptizing in Aenon near Salim, because there was much water there. And they came and were baptized" (John 3:23). John chose a place to baptize where there was much water. Sprinkling requires only a little water. But a burial in water requires much water. Therefore, John did not baptize by sprinkling. He baptized by burying in water. "So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing" (Acts 8:38,39). When Philip baptized the eunuch, both of them went down into the water. After the baptism, both of them came up out of the water. To sprinkle a person, it is not necessary to go down into the water. To baptize a person by burying him in water, it is necessary to go down into it. Therefore, Philip baptized the eunuch by burial, not sprinkling. What is the proper way to baptize? The Bible teaches it is by a burial in water. Therefore sprinkling is not true baptism.

Are 4 Godparents allowed per child for baptism?
Technically, there is one or two "sponsor" godparents - if two, one is female and the other male. Both need to be baptized Catholic, age 16 or older, and Confirmed. Their names are formally entered into the church baptism register.
Any more than two is not official; however if tradition dictates more than two the others can be called godparents but names are not entered. You should check with the local baptizing priest to see what he thinks.

In baptism what is the meaning of anointing on the chest?
The anointing with oil on the chest is meant to give the child the grace and the strength to live the Christian life. In ancient times, athletes would massage their muscles with oil to prepare themselves for competition. Soldiers would do the same to prepare themselves for battle. In Scripture, the Christian life is equated with both of these things: a race to be won (cf. 1 Cor 9:24; 2 Tim 4:7; Heb 12:1) and a spiritual war to be waged (cf. 2 Cor 10:3-4; Eph 6:12). So, in baptism we give the new Christian his or her adequate preparation.

Can a child be baptized in the Catholic Church if the parents are gay or lesbian?
Catholic Answer This is a complicated question that can only be answered by the parish priest in charge of the parish in which the child resides. To be baptized there MUST be a well-founded hope that the child will be raised as a Christian. If the the mother or father raising the child is a practicing Catholic then there should be no problem. However, if the child is living with a parent who is engaging in a sinful lifestyle and obviously disregarding Church teachings then I think the possibility of a well-founded hope would be pretty slim.
