The baseball I believe you are referring to, is the Mickey Mantle commemorative baseball that was used in an official game played on August 25, 1996. A monument in honor of Mickey Mantle who died a year earlier was unveiled in Yankee Stadium's Monument Park that day. The Major League approved, Official American League Gene Budig baseball featured black stitching, a New York 7 with a Mickey Mantle Facsimile signature in black ink. This signature is not hand signed but stamped on.

In August of 1996 the baseballs were made available to the public, and sold for $10.- $12. Today the Baseballs are commonly found on eBay, and sealed in the box sell for about $15.-$20. If the baseball you have is in fact hand signed by Mickey Mantle with the inscription "no. 7" then a Mickey Mantle single signed baseball is worth about $500.-$800. Price will vary based on condition, and type of authenticity that accompanies the signature.

Rare examples of pristine signatures or inscriptions like "The Mick" "no. 7" or 536 HR's" could raise the price to the $1,000. price range. Personal inscription like "Good luck Mike" could sell below $400. A rarely signed full name signature "Mickey Charles Mantle" will break the $2,000 price mark as it did in a May 5th 2007 live eBay auction selling for $2,390. A signature that is not authenticated could sell at half the market value or less. The box of the baseball could add some value.

The Bob Feller "Dallas" Hartland figurine issued in the early 1990's in mint condition is worth about $2,000. with the original box in mint condition. As with all collectibles condition is important. Statues with minor flaws will sell for a significant amount less.

Common flaws in condition are missing bats, Mask, paint chipping, and Yellowing (cream color).

The original Hartland baseball series of statues were sold in stores like Woolworths from 1958 through 1962. Hartland was known for making Plastic western toys, such as horses, and cowboys. In 1958 Hartland released 18 plastic baseball player figurines, that sold for $1.98.

This original collection of 18 baseball players, included Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Stan Musial, Yogi Berra, Hank Aaron, Luis Aparicio, Ernie Banks, Ricky Colavito, Don Drysdale, Dick Groat, Roger Maris, Willie Mays, Ted Williams, Eddie mathews, Warren Spahn, Duke Snider, Nellie Fox, and a Batboy.

Reproduction 25th anniversary statues were made by Hartland in the late 1980's to early 1990's and sell in the $25. price range. 25th anniversary is written on the belt buckle and is sometimes hard to see. After the compaany was sold the statues made in the early 1990's were known as the "Dallas Hartlands". The rarest Hartland of them all, 10,000 Bob Feller statues were commissioned for sale, production was halted after just thirty-five were produced.
