Daisy started making the Red Ryder in 1939. I found a web page with an add for a 1940 Red Ryder. The price listed was $2.95.

You can have the BB gun tuned by a professional. But the easiest way is to take a few drops of Crosman Pelgun oil and put it the case with the BB and roll them around. Do not over oil the BB"s it will make them sticky. Just a light coat. This will coat the barrel when you fire the trigger. Also if you have a C02 gun put a drop of pelgun oil on the tip of the cylinder before you put the cylinder into the gun. It will coat the seals and make them last longer.

Crosman did not make BB guns until 1947, so there is no 1924 model BB pistol. Crosman did make their first BB rifle called the 1923 model. It had a plunger under the barrel to pump up the gun. Benjamin had been using this design on their pistols starting in 1935 but crosman never used it on a pistol only on the first model. Now back to the Crosman rifles, the second Crosman rifle was the 1924 model and it used a pump handle under the barrel to pump up the gun. Yes I have a photo of a Crosman 1924 model but "Answers" has no way of displaying photos, so sorry your out of luck.

The model 141 has a shot tube in the barrel. Look at the end of the barrel, you will see that it is gnarled around the edge. Unscrew it from the barrel and pull it out.

The shot tube is loaded with BB and screwed back into the barrel. The Daisy model 25 is loaded the same way. See the link below for the owners manual for the model 25 it has the basic same shot tube.

If I am correct this is a daisy model 880. It is an under lever pump rifle. In poor condition it is not even listed. My catalogue only list it starting Good to Very Good.

In bad condition it would be worth less than $10.

Daisy has made 2 double barrel models. The model 21 in 1968 and the model 104 made between 1938-40. BOTH are very valuable. Unfortunately It's not possible to estimate the value because there is no description of the rifle given. Please state the condition of the rifle. Very Good, Good, Fair or Poor. Does it still work?

You mean BB rifles. Most sporting gods store sell them along with Walmart, Cabelas, Basspro, Dicks and ACE hardware.
