Jerusalem is currently within Israeli territory and Bethlehem is currently under the civil authority of the State of Palestine.
Just like W.T. Grant, it ain't no more. The remainder of the corporation was sold to the International Steel Group and later Mittal which is now Arcelor-Mittal. Burns Harbor, Steelon, Conshohoken and Coatesville now operate under the the Arcelor-Mittal umbrella. Sparrows Point was sold to a Russian steelmaker as part of antitrust regulations that allowed the Acerlor-Mittal merger to be completed.
No one knows their names, or if they were kings, or if there were three of them. All the Bible says is that "wise men from the east" came to see Jesus. Also, they came when Jesus was probably about 2 years old, and living in Nazareth. They were not present at the stable in Bethlehem at all.
Bethlehem is famous for it's rich colonial and industrial industry. It also holds a festival every year called music fest in which music artists from all over the country play there. In Bethlehem, there are many museums that hold history from the past and sights that take your breath away.
Bethlehem is part of the West Bank Palestinian Territories, which are under Israeli Military Jurisdiction. There are also large parts of Bethelehem that are in Zone A, which is officially Palestinian Authority jurisdiction. The Palestinian Authority is a One-Party Dictatorship led by Fatah.
It was called the City of David (David the king of Judea was born in Bethlehem), also it was called Afrata (Bethlehem Afrata) in the old testament, also it was called in the Aramic Language Bet Lekhem (the same Bet Lehem and then to BETHLEHEM)
Bethlehem is in the West Bank section of the Israeli Occupied Territorial Area (IOTA), generally known as the "Occupied Territories". As Israel has never formally annexed the territories it is not actually in Israel, and people born there do not have Israeli citizenship. Day to day administration is in the hands of the Palestinian Authority, but the town is occupied by Israeli military forces. Jordan (to which Bethlehem belonged until the 1967 Israeli invasion) has relinquished its own claim to the area, preferring that it should become part of an autonomous Palestinian state. So as at the end of 2008 Bethlehem isn't in a country at all, but is controlled by Israel.
This is sort of like asking how far it is from New York City to Nieuw Amsterdam, or from Istanbul to Constantinople. Bethlehem is in the region that has, occasionally, been known as "Palestine".
