I'm sure there are classes. You can also watch your groomer and learn a few things. Or you can look at videos and step-by-step instructions online.

Me and my family feed our bichon frise with 'Cesar Chicken And Turkey' dog food. We have to mash it up in her bowl, but that is only for dogs who are not puppies- past 2 years old, I would say.
Do NOT feed your bichon frise human food, if the sensitive stomach is colitis. That's what our beloved pet has, and she is one of the healthiest dogs her groomer and vet has seen! :)

NEVER! They are very allergic. never!!! do not feed any dog meat or that stuff. feed them the right dog food your vet prefers. a piece of bacon every ONCE in a while will not hurt them.
How do you stop a bichon frise hair getting curly?
It depend on the hair type of that certain dog some are more curly then others. There is no point in wanting to stop it from getting curly it is perfectly natural.

We live in McKinney, TX (north of Dallas) and have a bichon that will be 18 - 12-15-09. He is in good health......loss of some hearing and some seeing.
He looks and acts like a young dog.

They are all quite similar but if you are after an easy to take care of dog I would suggest a bichion frise because they don't shed hair (only their tail but not alot) and they are great with people :)

I own two bichons and all they do is play all day long. Take a nap and they go back to playing. Dulce even comes and get me when she wants to go outside to play ball. They come and get me when they want my attention. otherwise, they are either wrestling or playing tug of war

I was happy to hear about this as I own a Bichon Frise which I thought was mixed with another breed, but was recently told by a person (breeder) when I was out walking my dogs that she was full Bichon Frise. When I did the research that person was right. It was wonderful to hear that they are a long living breed. It's difficult at best to have to part with a loyal friend.
