James Maslow is originally from New York, but he grew up in California. The above answer is obviously wrong seeing as we'd be going back in time for that to happen(and that the show first started in 2009). As for an answer to this question, the release date is yet to be announced, however is likely to be within the year of 2012.

Big Time Rush is about four boys in Minessota who get an " oppertunity of a lifetime" when they are discovered by accident by Gustavo Roque and mega producer from the 90's. he asks them to go to Hollywood with them and find that the boys are very problamatic.
