This song was originally called "Drift Away". It contains the lines
"I wanna get lost in your rock n' roll
And drift away"
The song is probably best known through Dobie Gray's 1973 hit version.Bob Seger's version doesn't feature on any of his albums.
It is worth whatever the buyer is willing to pay. This worth is set by selling and buying.
If you offer a sale price of $1000 and the person is willing to pay that amount, then it is worth that much. Although if the buyer makes a counter offer of less and you accept, then that is the value. No actual dollar amount can be determined until a transaction has been made.
Yes in the late 1970's. he played Halifax and Sydney for sure
"Drift Away" (also known erroneously as "Give Me The Beat, Boys") is a song written by Mentor Williams and originally recorded by John Henry Kurtz in 1972. However, Dobie Gray's cover is by far the most popular version. It became Gray's biggest hit in 1973, peaking at number five on the BillboardHot 100, though it did not enter the charts in the UK. Bob Segar, along with an overwhelming number of musicians have covered this song. Bob Segar's version was never released on any album of his own.
it avoids discussion of the cultural significance of the details of his physical appearance.

There is a section of Wiki, WikiAnswers, or whatever, that is called WikiMusic. I just discovered it myself, so I'm not exactly sure how it works. It's looks to me like you need to create a separate account. I'm not sure if that is for editing purposes? You can view the lyrics to Bob Seger's Night Moves there without an account there though. I will include a link to the lyrics on the bottom of the page.
Nope, not yet! Even his dad, famous folk singer and songwriter, Pete Seeger (perhaps best known for the song This Land Is Your Land, This Land Is My Land), is still alive, having turned 90 in May of this year.
Pete Seeger is not his Dad, Bob Seger's dad died in a house fire.

I first met Joe Ancis in 1988 or 89 through Rodney Dangerfield. Rodney and Joe had been friends for over 50 years and at the time Joe was living in Rodney's condo in NYC. Rodney would say that Joe was the funniest man he ever met. Joe never went on the road with Rodney because he had a fear of flying but this one time Rodney had convinced him to come to LA where he camped out at the Beverly Hilton penthouse. Joe was a regular Joe with a sharp Jewish wit..tall and he and Rodney drank at the same pace. We got onto a discussion of God. I tried to explain my thoughts on faith likening it to turning on the lightswitch without any thought of where the electricity came from. Joe quipped. "Yea, cause I pad the light bill"!
Later I learned Joe was a real mensch to many comics and most notably Lenny Bruce.
who are you? i need to talk to you asap...i have something in the works and i lived with Joe for 3 months in NY.
