How do you train a Borzoi to sit?
You can teach a Borzoi to sit just like any other dog. One method is to raise a treat over their head. As they reach up to get it, their bottom will go down. When it hits the ground, say sit and reward with the treat + praise.

The Borzoi has been said to have a catlike personality, and although they are very smart dogs they can be a bit difficult to train. Training should begin at a young age and remain firm and consistent. Borzoi are very sensitive dogs and your patience is a must. No, they are the same breed. Borzoi is a Russian word so can be used by itself- Borzoi is the proper name- also a publishing company. Yes, Anastasia had one, her Pooka was a lot bigger than the mini-puppy in the cartoon film. oddly while Anastasia grew up- Pooka stayed in the puppy size range, and they ar such as Beautiful dog. actually they were quite popular with Ladies of the Russian court. it was only ( Nobless oblige) for Stacy to have one of the national breed. by the way Pooka means Female Dog in Russian- in both senses of the term.
