Bowling is a general term for an activity/sport of rolling a ball on a green or down a lane towards an object or group of objects.
This includes the traditional (US) tenpin bowling. In tenpin bowling, a bowler stands on the approach and walks to the foul line and releases a ball over the foul line, down a lane/alley, towards a grouping of ten pins on a lane in a triange forment four in back, three in front of that, two in front of that, one in front. The player has two shots a frame to knock all ten pins down. There are ten frames total in a single game of bowling. If you knock all ten down in shot, it is called a strike. In two shots a spare. If you shoot a strike on the first ball in the tenth frame, you get two bonus, fill shots. If you shoot a spare in the tenth frame, you get one fill shot. If you shoot 12 strikes in a row, you have achieved a perfect game.

What bones are used for bowling?
Just about every major muscle group is involved in delivering a bowling ball:
The gastrocnemius (calf), hamstring and quadriceps muscle groups in the legs are involved in the four-step approach.
The triceps, forearm and latissimus dorsi (upper back) muscles thrust and support the ball during the pushaway, while the lats, deltoid (shoulder) and pectoral (upper chest) muscles are engaged during the armswing.
The abdominal muscles of the core, especially the obliques, are involved in stabilizing the upper body through the highest part of the backswing, as well as adding power to the release.
The biceps and pectorals, as well as the forearm and wrist muscles, power the ball through the release, and may even impart a sideways motion that increases the hook.
Last but not least, the cardiac muscle (heart) pumps faster to deliver additional oxygen to all these muscles. This makes bowling a very healthy activity for almost everyone.
Are you allowed to put powder in a bowling ball?
Putting powder (or resin/rosin) INSIDE the thumb or finger holes is acceptable to help to keep from sticking in the ball, but it can't be so much that powder/rosin comes out of these holes after the ball is released. Putting powder (or resin/rosin) on the outside of the surface of the ball is prohibited. These are rules for any U.S. Bowling Congress sanctioned play, and probably would apply to any other competition, too. As far as open play goes, what you can get away is what you can get away with, but most (or nearly all) bowling centers wouldn't allow you to get powder all over the place, the same way they wouldn't let you track water or mud all over. As far as powder on SHOES, that isn't allowed, though it is often done and not looked at if done in a way to not leave a residue anywhere.

Does a bowling ball or a tennis ball have more inertia?
This can be a tricky question; before answering one like this ask for the frame of reference.
If you are in a closet with a floating feather, and a ball on a shelf, and measure momentum relative to the closet, the feather will have more momentum than the bowling ball.
However, if you look at the larger picture, you will find that
Every one of these motions involves momentum, and the total momentum is shared out among everything on or in this planet in proportion to its mass. The bowling ball is enormously massive compared to the feather, and has vastly more momentum in the universal frame of reference.
The answer is correct, but the last sentence is wrong. There is no universal frame of reference.

This is because gravity pulls at a constant rate. The force of gravity depends on the mass of the Moon, which is constant, and not on the mass of each object falling.
