Because I am not a medical professional, I cannot tell you what the cause is to your problem. But, I do highly suggest that you see a doctor if you have not done so. There are a variety of conditions that can cause these symptoms; many of which are not dangerous nor serious, but do need medical attention.
What is an easy method for getting rid of bruises?
Bruises are formed from pooled blood beneath the skin.
When the bruise first appears as an injury, people use ice to reduce swelling and inflammation, but that is only for the first twenty-four hours. After that, heat is used to stimulate circulation and, thus, promote healing. This is common medical practice.
Heat treatments should consist of hot water applied by either soaking the bruise, or, if it is not possible to submerge the bruised area, then apply a hot water compress to the area. The temperature of the water should be comfortably hot, never scalding.
Does witch hazel make a bruise go quicker?
Witch hazel is often used for its anti-inflammatory and astringent properties, which may help reduce swelling and promote healing in bruised areas. While it might not significantly speed up the disappearance of a bruise, it can alleviate discomfort and improve the appearance of the skin. However, individual results may vary, and it's best to consult a healthcare professional for proper treatment advice.

Have a bruise on upper leg and hurts when you press down on it?
There is an old joke in medicine that doctors tell. It goes like this: A patient goes to the doctor and says, "Doc, it hurts when I do this (showing the doctor)." The doctor replies, "Well, then stop doing that!" The meaning is, not everything that hurts means it is serious, and sometimes, the only time the spot really hurts is when we touch it.
Your bruise hurts because, first, you hit it on something to get the bruise. Second, it hurts because the body creates inflammation when it tries to heal an injured spot. So the more you touch it, the more it might hurt. Just leave it alone.. The body will naturally make the bruise go away, usually in 7-10 days.

How long does it take for a bump to look like a bruise?
Usually within 24 hours a bruise appears--IF it will bruise. Not all bumps cause bruises. Between 2 to 4 days, the bruise will be at full dark colors before it begins to lighten.
How do you determine the age of a bruise?
You determine the age of a bruise or contusion by its coloring. Darker black and blue is very recent. Addition of green, yellow, maroon, red, gray makes it look worse, but it is not new, but more than 24-48 hours old. As the bruise lightens, the colors turn pastel and can spread, making the bruise look bigger. The paler the pastel colors, the closer to being healed.
Note: A very mild bruise may never get very dark at all.

Will Wellbutrin cause easy bleeding and bruises and skin rash on legs?
I'm pretty sure that your bleeding is one of the more common side effects of several ssri's including wellbutrin/zyban.
In larger doses in some people certain ssri's are known to cause brain bleeds( hemmoraging ), uterine bleeding (of the uterus)... and other such bleeds like nose bleeds.
You may get dark stools due to gastrointestinal bleeds from these types of meds as well.
Bruising and bleeding is interrelated. People who take anticoagultents(warfin, cumaden& others) tend to bruise very easy as an example of other types of drugs that may cause bleeding and bruising.
My recommendation is to take a few supplements to increase your levels of Vitamin K...
Alfalfa is great for starters. In powder or pill form is best for therapeutic levels of Vitamin k intake. Find a multi-Vitamin that contains IRON. Today due to toxicity and over dosing, many brands of multi-vitamins no longer carry iron. Women and post surgical types, and bleeders need iron added to their diet.
You can also for a short period eat high levels of red meat, just make sure its lean, ground round or ground serloin. This has protein, and Iron.
Vitamin C helps with the absorption of iron, Drink no less than 2 8oz glasses of Fortified apple juice, or orange juice, or cranberry cocktail/juice/drink
Or any juice that contains HI levels of Vitamin C. Or u could always use pill/tabs of vitamin C or powder.
Calcium is very important. If your bleeding Calcium is being lost. Most Americans are low in calcium anyway. Make sure your taking no less than 1200 mg a day. In conjunction with vitamin D. Make sure you consume no less than 1000IU Vit D. a day during the winter period. The best natural source is the SUN, but that's hard to do for some people. One hour of sun a day during warmer periods on exposed flesh is best for generating Vitamin D in adequate levels. If you live in Hi Lats, or in poor weather climates, or do not go out, or are afraid of damage via sun/uv then you MUST take a good supplement. Make sure it is only vitamin D... and not some vitamin A&D mix. One teaspoon a day of cod liver oil is the bare minimum level i would recommend.
More than 90% of Americans do not get this much vitamin D during the winter. 5000 IU supplements can be found cheaply on eBay/puritan cvs/Walgreen's on sale.
When in doubt about head and neck injuries (and this is almost certainly both -- whiplash is a common colateral injury for this type of trauma), the patient should be presented at an Emergency Room. The reasons for this are at home, you lack the equipment to assess concussion, skull fracture, and cervical (neck) injuries. You also have the question of why he fell in the first place to consider. Good luck [[User:Cjonb|Cjonb]] 18:38, 2 Jun 2008 (UTC)
Is it against the law to hit your child on the arm and leave a bruise with a belt?
Any hit or slap which leaves a mark or cut on a child could be determined to be child abuse. However, even a well-meaning parent using appropriate punishment with a child COULD accidentally leave a bruise. This is why authorities evaluate each case and the circumstances.
That said, a child who is being beaten and abused can report this to the police, any teacher, or counselor. All are mandated to report suspected abuse. A child can also call Child Welfare to report. However, it doesn't mean the agency will decide it is abuse.
If you did something wrong, and your parent accidentally left a bruise when he smacked you, is it truly abuse... or are you just angry that an adult can set the rules, even if you don't like those rules.
