Bruises (contusions)

um....actually, I have a massive bruise on my arm from a shot i got about 5 days ago.

It was important because it would prove Tom's Innocence. When tom was little his left arm got crippled ina farming accident proving that he could not have hitten mayella on the right side of her face that would leave bruises

However Bob Ewell her father was left handed proving that he had the ability to beat Mayella in such a way which he most probably would do given the circumstances of their home.

If someone else was at fault, you can sue them for the medical expenses and income lost due to recovery time. For something so minor, don't expect much.

Yes, it is normal since severity of the wound depends on many factors such as: 1)mechanism of injury, 2) part of the body, 3) tissue vascularity (how well is particular tissue rich with blood vessels) 4) etc.

They can see bruises around the neck because the blood cannot be reabsorbed postmortem, and the blood turns dark and they can even sometimes tell what they were choked with; but the body doesn't turn a very dark shade of blue, it is actually more pale than anything

It is just a swelling of the tissue beneath the affected area...no worries! It will go away when you're healed.

A contusion is a bruise. Bruises are weird-- they do not always occur right after being hurt. But they often show up within 24 hours. So a suspected contusion means the doctor believes the type of injury will likely produce a bruise. Also, on a dark skinned person, it can sometimes be difficult to determine if it's an area of skin discoloration (like we all have here and there) or a true bruise.

To get of a bruise quickly use toothpaste. I don't know how it works but it does. Use toothpaste with a whitening agent in it and at first the bruise will get worse but will quickly disappear in around 3-4 days. Much better then waiting the usual 2 weeks.

For the first 48-72 hours, you can use ice, 10-15 minutes on, then off... several times a day. Then, switch to moist heat, such as a warm washcloth.
