"Luck" is not part of the Buddhist way of looking at the Universe. A seeking for "Luck" is acting on the desire to have things better than they are, desire leasds to suffering (as stated in the Four Noble Truths) and suffering is what Buddhists seek to avoid through enlightenment.

Did the Buddha teach with parables?

The Buddha did teach with parables, mostly using metaphors of things the people of his time dealt with everyday, and quite often with whatever was most prominent in his world -- for example there is the Path, and the groundless ground, and lots of discussion of water.

Most of the fantastic tales like the Jatakas and stories about the Buddha walking on water (or teleporting across it) were added to the suttas later. And because the Buddha's tales pre-date Christianity by at least a couple of centuries, some scholars say that many of the tales about Jesus in the Bible were inspired by Buddhist stories.

Buddha is different from other religious leaders such as Jesus cause he got ability to see early lifes of his soul by that way he can easily tell stories which are commonly known as "Early Lifes' Stories",and Buddha is NOT a person but a state that anyone can reach so I guess you probably said about Gautama Buddha.

cause only one person can reach the Buddha state at one specific period mostly that person is known as Buddha.

You can not be a Jesus, but you can be a Buddha if you work hard that's the democracy of Buddhism.the next Buddha who is known as Maitri will born in 30,000AD according to Legend and many Buddhist Scriptures.

Who founded or started Buddhism?

Siddhartha Gautama. A short history is below:

Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha, was born in Northern India (now Nepal) about 563 BCE to King Suddhodana and his wife Queen Maha Maya, so he was born a Prince. His mother died shortly after childbirth. The hermit seer Asita told his father, the King, that his son would either grow up to be a great ruler or a great holy man. The King didn't want his son to be a Holy man so he made it that the prince was only surrounded by luxury and beauty and hid from him sickness, old age and death. At 16 Siddhartha married his cousin of the same age named Yaśodharā. They had a child named Rāhula which means fetter (think ball and chain).

At the age of 29, Siddhartha left his palace to meet his subjects. Despite his father's efforts to hide from him the sick, aged and suffering, Siddhartha was said to have seen what the real world for the first time and was deeply troubled about the fact that so many people suffer. So he left his wife and child and renounced his throne to find out the answer to why there was suffering. Now it should be noted when Buddhists speak of suffering this includes dissatisfaction (unhappiness) with the way things are. Siddhartha went to study with various gurus to try to find the answer to his question. Theses gurus had him do various types of yoga and meditation to try to help him with his quest. None of them seem to have an answer to his question though.

Siddhartha left these various gurus and joined in with a group of ascetics. Asceticism is a path in which you deprive the body in order to conquer and control the mind. He practiced asceticism fiercely, almost to the point of death. At that point he realized that neither giving in to pleasure, as he did when he was a prince, nor trying to punish the body, was the proper path to finding the answer. So he sat down and meditated under a pi-pal tree. During this meditation he discovered the root of all suffering and the path to how to overcome suffering and became enlightened.

After his enlightenment he meets up with his ascetic friends, who by now were critical of him for leaving the path of asceticism. But he explains to them what he had discovered and they were instantly converted. From there The Buddha taught for 45 years until his death at 85 converting many to his teachings and now Buddhism is the 4th largest religion in the world.

What are the two most important principles of Buddhism?

1. Self salvation is for any man the immediate task. If a man lay wounded by a poisoned arrow he would not delay extraction by demanding details of the man who shot it or the length and make of the arrow. There will be time for ever-increasing understanding of the Teaching during the treading of the Way. Meanwhile, begin now by facing life as it is, learning always by direct and personal experience.

2. The first fact of existence is the law of change or impermanence. All that exists, from a mole to a mountain, from a thought to an empire, passes through the same cycle of existence; birth, growth, decay and death. Life alone is continuous, ever seeking self-expression in new forms. "Life is a bridge; therefore build no house on it." Life is a process of flow, and he who clings to any form, however splendid, will suffer by resisting the flow.

Total they are 12 principles in Buddhism.

What do Buddhist believe happens in the after life?

  • Depending on how much good things you have done in your life you will be reborn after you die

For example:

- If you killed someone, in your next life, YOU will be killed or rebron as something like a spider that people want to squish

- If you always think of others and try to be a kind, caring and a non- selfish, understanding person, then you will be born as a human or someone important

- And if you do the most good things possible, then you will not be born again and that is good because you don't need to suffer the pain...

  • The process of death to a Buddhist is part of the ongoing cycle of death and rebirth. Nobody can get out of this cycle until they achieve enlightenment and can enter Nirvana, a self-less condition. Even then, many enlightened beings opt to return to help others find enlightenment. In essence the "not being reborn" condition s the goal.
  • The process of reincarnation is the default option. It is not however the Western view of being "you" throughout numerous rebirths like a cheap Hollywood movie. Your essence goes on, your memories don't. While some schools of Buddhism feel there is a cause and effect process in place (a person with an ugly personality in one life is born into a ugly body in this life) this is not supported by other schools.
  • Both the reincarnation and the eventual Nirvana are accomplished without the existence of a deity. No judgment (praise, damnation or salvation) exists.
  • Many religions believe in life after death, and make it a central reason for their members running their lives in the religion's approved manner. Usually this afterlife is a spiritual sort, in a heaven or hell. Buddhism believes in process of reincarnation where after death the person's life is begun again, allowing a process of improvement with time. The ultimate goal is non-existence as a separate ego.
No religion has an proof of any of these beliefs. Buddhists are free to believe whatever they want.

Buddhists believe in an ongoing cycle of birth and death. The cycle may be ended when enlightenment is attained and Nirvana is attained. This is not necessarily the end, in some schools of Buddhist thought people may opt out of Nirvana to reenter the cycle of birth and death to enlighten others.

In what part of the world were Buddhism and Hinduism born?

In India. Hinduism originated from early Indo-Aryan religion and Hinduism is a branch of Hinduism although much more liberal. Also, Hinduism had what is known as a "caste system" which was pretty much social levels. The Brahmin priests being at the top, then warriors, then merchants and traders, then laborers, and finally the "untouchables". Buddhism is based on the idea that the ultimate goal is to reach Nirvana. Nirvana is pretty much a big pool of consciousness, not a god however. To reach enlightment(nirvana) your Atman must reach Brahman(pool of consciousness) to do so, you must have perfect karma so you can stop reincarnating. Hope this helps.
