There are a few different theories on the origin of the American Bulldog. One states that the current American Bulldog is a direct descendant of English bulldogs brought into the US colonies. They say the American is in fact just the English which was selectively bred for work over the years.

Another, more realistic theory is that Bull Terriers and Bulldogs were chose selctively to create the American Bulldog. As pedigrees were not typically kept early on, it is hard to determine what was added in here and there to enhance certain traits.

Other inmates see this behavior as a "P.C. move" which is one of the reasons Northern Mexicans are refered to as Busters. Fresno inmates enter the California Prison System at Wasco & Delano State Prisons which are Southern controlled Prisons. Fresno inmates must fight their rivals from day 1 where as inmates from Northern & Central Valley California go to Tracy & San Quintin State Prisons Which are primarily controlled by Bay Area Black inmates which are considered associates but not allies to the Northern Mexicans dispite rumors to the contrary.

Fresno Bulldogs are few in numbers because they are primarily based only in the Fresno county area. Dispite this they are respected for their willingness to fight both Northern & Southern Mexican inmates.

There is no such thing as a natural habitat for domesticated dogs such as terriers, and it would be easier to describe places where they couldn't or would have a hard time surviving. Extremely cold places are probably not good for them as well as the extremely warm areas without shade, other than that they should be ok in most habitats.

Bulldogs get flat noses purely because breeders in the 1800's only bred the dogs with the flattest noses, and this eventually became a genetic trait of bulldogs.

Well some dogs have a "natural smell". I had the same problem with my dog and went to the vet and just to be told, 'oh that is her natural odor'!! So we asked 'but it stinks?!' 'oh no that is her natural smell!' It kind of stunk but hat is okay we are used to it now. Also try using a shampoo and bathe them. Or at stores some of them sell these awesome sprays that I love!! In so many smells and are smell and are like a body smell or perfume for us, humans, but they have made some for dogs, and it makes them smell good. Good luck though!!
