Remove trunk liner - undo nuts (about 8) -
That will make the whole license plate mount - including reverse lights - free from the care
The third brake light is attached to the mount thing by four hex screws (if still factory)
There is usually an adhesive tape holding the light on to the mount as well, so when you remove the screws it may take a little effort---
Obviously unplug the light before pulling it off-
I did this the other day, took me about 20 min, once i got the liner out, That can be a pain, if you use a flat head with a old shirt or something on it to help prevent scratching the car- Just slide it under liner behind plastic push things-
Than just put it all back together in same way - pretty easy all in all....

it is located on the back of the motor on the passenger side above the drain plug and the passenger side axel.
Crank the wheels all the way to the right and reach in behind the mud-guard(?) of the passenger-side wheel well just above the axle boot, and you can touch the oil filter. It's almost horizontal, facing the rear of the car. May help to jack up the front passenger side a little bit.

The Location of the oil filter depends on which engine you have in your CTS. the 3.2 engine the oil filter is located on the bottom of the engine to the left of the oil pan. It is not a screw on type filter it is a canister filter. You will have to unscrew the lid to gain access to the oil filter. On the 3.6 Engine the oil filter is also a canister filter but it is located on the top side of the engine. On the drivers side around the center of the engine cover. It will take a 15/16 socket to remove the lid.

I just replaced front turn signal bulb. Since all of them (signal and fog lamps) are integrated with the bumper, you have to do that from beneath. First ,turn your wheels to the max left (if you replacing left side bulb).Inside the arch you'll see that it is covered by plastic shield.You will have to remove plastic clips on the sides of that shield.There are six of them and they are clearly visible.Be careful not to brake clips.Use flat screwdriver to pull hat first,then the whole clip can be removed with fingers.Once all six clips pulled out,plastic shield will almost fall by itself - no efforts needed to detach it. You need to turn the key to the on position, leave it for 3 minutes then turn to the off position for 30 seconds, and repeat this 3 times. This should reset the theft system. If not take it to the dealership. This happened to me and the car wouldn't start. It would just click click click when I turned the ignition. I did this reset after reading about it from a caddilac tech, and sure enough it did the trick and the car fired up fine after. Hope this helps.
