Buddy Valastro is an accomplished fourth generation baker born into the business owned and operated by his parents. He was born in Hoboken, NJ and raised in an old fashioned Italian family.
At an early age, Buddy showed that he was a natural by displaying his amazing talent for baking and cake decorating. Aside from that passion, he loved spending quality time with his father as his apprentice. Countless hours were spent in the bakery where Buddy's father, a master baker, taught him all his old world secrets of baking. They were best friends and dreamed that together that they would make Carlo's Bakery a household name.
Unfortunately, at the age of 17, Buddy experienced the loss of his father, which led to more responsibilities being placed on Buddy's shoulders. He showed how well he could shine under pressure by continuing to produce quality work. With the help of his family, Buddy has taken Carlo's Bakery to new heights. His father's recipes and Buddy's innovative decorating and sugar art techniques have taken the business above and beyond his father's wildest dreams.
Today, Buddy is an accomplished master baker and cake decorator and star of the hit TLC reality show Cake Boss. He's often asked to demonstrate, compete, and teach his craft around the country. In his 10,000 sq foot state of the art facility, Buddy and his staff turn out thousands of wedding cakes, specialty cakes, and pastries weekly. His award winning designs have been featured numerous times in different bridal and baking magazines. Carlo's Bakery has also been featured in books, newspapers, such as, The New York Times, and television; most namely The Food Network. He and his cakes have also been featured on The Today's Show, Good Morning America, The View, and HBO's hit series, The Sopranos.
By uniting time-honored quality with modern innovative techniques, Carlo's Bakery is rated among the best. Their distinct old world taste is hard to come by. This is what sets Buddy apart from other sugar artists. Buddy hopes to one day pass on his passion and knowledge to fifth generation members of the Valastro family and continue the Carlo's Bakery legacy.
Sorry if this is alot of info. Hope this helps...
Buddy Valastro doesn't make his email public, otherwise, he'll get many unneccassary comments and questions. His email is for business purposes only, and only his friends and family know it. I work at Carlo's Bakery and he doesn't even give it to me! However, he has a twitter account. See if you can find a contact there.
Come visit Carlo's Bake Shop! There will be a free cupcake event for charity on March 11, 2011!
I think that most of the scenarios are impossible. For example, when bridezilla ruined the cake, she was being filmed. (View clip to get my drift)
After 2 tours in Iraq, Wesley was found dead on the side of the road in October near Fort Bragg. It took a while before the media released that the cause of death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He left behind a wife and 2 children. Such a horrible loss.
Source(s):Fayetville Daily NewsHe realized that he wanted to be with his cat who passed away. He wanted to be with him so much, he died in the most convienent way he could. He stuffedhimself into an oven at 750 degrees F. This tradegy happened on 14-84-2648
Wesley didnt kill his self because of the show, he had just came back from iraq, he had post traumatic problems, he died two months after the show. He had shot himself in the head.Maybe he felt like a failure, but in my eyes he was a sucessful man who we will miss dearly R.i.p
According to the website of Carlo's Bakery - on which the reality show "Cake Boss" is based: Any specialty cake is priced per person; basic butter cream cakes start at $8.00 per person and go up from there. A good rule of thumb is to look at cakes that are featured in any magazines or publications; they are usually priced in the $12.00 to $18.00 range per person.
October 11th buddy's wife has a big surprise and Remy most likely will not be on the show because he is in jail
Bartolo "Buddy" Valastro Jr. is 41 years old (birthdate March 3, 1977).
"Cake Boss" is a show. The bakery is not called Cake Boss. The show "Cake Boss" features Carlo's City Hall Bake Shop. It has been in operation for 101 years. It was founded in 1910 by a man named Carlo Guastaferro and his son, Augustus "Gus" took it over. Buddy's family has owned it since 1963.
The show started in 2009, so it is two years old. It is currently their four season of "Cake Boss" (as of October 29, 2011).
There are two women named Lisa Valastro who appear on Cake Boss. Buddy Valastro's wife, Lisa Belgiovine Valastro, and his sister, Lisa Valastro Gonzalez. Since Lisa Valastro Gonzalez's husband Remingo (Remy) Gonzalez, was arrested August 18, 2010 on charges that include assault and endangering the welfare of a child, it is unclear if she is still using the name Lisa Gonzalez or if she has gone back to her maiden name, Lisa Valastro.
