Yes, I would travel to Cancun, or even the Riviera Maya just south of Cancun. You have very little to worry about and it is one of the most popular vacation destinations in the world. Cancun is characterized by more high rise All-Inclusive hotels on the beach, whereas the hotels in Riviera Maya tend to be under 5 stories high and more spread out. Some are also more intimate. I wouldn't worry about drugs or h1n1 if that's what you are thinking. I would go vacation to Mexico every month if I could.

However, for what I know, there are no direct flights between Iran and Mexico, so you will probably switch flights in the US or Europe. Therefore I would recommend you to look for the requisites on the country or countries you will be visiting to reach Mexico.

no, the only tour boat there is leaves from Miami. You can choose guided tours in Spanish or English and there is two routes daily, one at 9am in the morning and one at 3pm. The tour operator is called Ketonta Tours. It is advisable to purchase tickets a few days in advance since the trip is often booked out due to popular demand (because of restrictions, however, they cannot set up more routes, unfortunately).

It's a fun tour though and definitely worth a day's trip. You can see thing like Habanna, Varadero, Pinchegringero, and much more.
