Manson had absolutely no interest in politics. He was neither democrat, republican or anything else.

The victims of August 9, 1969 were murdered at 10050 Cielo Dr., and the La Bianca murders the next night on Waverly Dr. in the Los Feliz neighborhood in L.A.

Linda Kasabian - she witnessed the from outside the house. It was thought she was sent because she had a drivers license. She was not aware of the intent of the trip until it was too late. Charles Manson made a poor call when he picked Linda Kasabian to join the group of killers who set out to kill everyone inside the homes of actress Sharon Tate and Leno and Rosemary LaBianca. Kasabian went along, but stood in horror as the screams of the victims broke the night's silence. She managed to escape from the Manson family and later turned state's evidence during the Tate and LaBianca murder trials. It was her eye-witness testimony that sealed the convictions of those responsible.

Manson's biggest defense headache had to be Susan Atkins, and Linda Kasabian was the mother of all migraines.

Atkins spouted off her mouth to cellmates while awaiting trial on separate charges. Thank goodness her cellmate had a conscience or things may have turned out differently. She turned state's evidence and then recanted. That got her the death sentence.

Linda Kasabian was a prosecutor's dream witness. She witnessed but did not participate in any of the 7 murders. (8 if you count Sharon Tate's almost full-term baby) Kasabian was the only one that seemed to feel anything about these horrible murders. Prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi jumped at the chance to give her immunity in exchange for her testomony. And testify she did, on the stand for days, she was a witness that the jury believed. They probably felt the story was so bizzare that nobody could make it up.

After the arrest of Manson, Krenwinkle, Atkins, Van Houten and Watson the entire 'family' residence was raided. The children were taken into protective custody. Some were returned to their rightful parents. Others were put up for adoption.

Linda Kasabian had to leave her small daughter at the ranch with the family just to escape. Later she was reunited with her child and later gave birth to a son she named Angel. After the ordeal of the murders and the trial in which she had a starring role, Linda disappeared for many years. Just recently she has come out to talk about what happened in 1969. She has had a good life, she is now a grandmother but she never forgets that Sharon Tate would be a grandmother also had she been allowed to live.

Although it appears that Manson himself did not live in Woodbury but he does have ties to that area. Manson's mother Kathleen Madox settled in the Short Mountain area of Cannon County, TN., after Charles was an adult. He did live in Grahn, TN, with his mother at his grandmother's home.

Rumors of a devil-worshipping cult active in the hollows of Cannon County that have been linked to Manson and the Family have swirled for decades but very hard to substantiate. It is now common knowlege that Manson was involved in devil worship starting as far back as the 'Summer of Love' in San Francisco in the 1960's. Manson had dealings with Anton Le Vey, renowned satanist, and the cult known as the Process, as did Susan Atkins, a Manson diciple.

Lynette 'Skeaky' Fromme was born October 22, 1948.

Only in his dreams. Manson knew Dennis Wilson, one of the original brothers that made up the Beach Boys. Manson was hoping Wilson could use his connections to get Manson's music career going. Wilson did his part, he contacted record producer Terry Melcher (Doris Day's son) and Melcher gave Manson a listen. Melcher took a pass on Manson and his music and Wilson payed the price. Manson terrorized Wilson, was in fact living in Wilson's house, when he finally had to move out to get away from Manson. Manson and his 'family' trashed Wilson's house before they finally left, and Wilson had to keep a low profile, afraid of what Charlie would do to him.

He had good reason to worry. Shortly after leaving Wilson's Malibu house, there were 5 murders in a house that was owned by Terry Melcher. The victims, actress Sharon Tate and friends. Tate was renting the house from Melcher and there is speculation that Manson was hoping to kill Melcher instead. It probably played a part in the choice of locations Manson picked for the murders.

As a matter of fact, He graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School, WV in 1972 and spent some time spent much of his childhood in McMechen and also lived for a time in Charleston.

Sharon Marie Tate was an American actress. During the 1960s she played small television roles before appearing in several films. Charles Milles Manson is an American criminal who led what became known as the Manson Family, a quasi-commune that arose in California in the late 1960s. Steve Parent, Jay Sebring, Wojciech Frykowski, Folger and Sharon were killed in the Tate's house that night.

I could not find an actual street address of Manson's aunt and uncle's house in McMechan, WV. There is a picture of the house on charlesmanson.com but didn't say whether the house is still owned by family.

Manson, for a variety of reasons, was virtually unemployable. He stole, swindled, lied and cheated to get anything he wanted or needed. When he could, he had others do likewise in order to take the 'heat' off himself. It is possible that he may have been slightly talented as a musician but the music business is highly competative. Many with far more talent than Manson have been rejected by recording big wigs. Charlie was a career criminal and he was very good at it.

He is not a manson by birth. He took his stepfather last name who is not related to her neither.

On August 8, 1969 in a house in the hills above Los Angeles, 5 people and an unborn male child were murdered. Dead were Steven Parent, 18 and a recent high school graduate, actress Sharon Tate, Sharons friend Jay Sebring (Hollywood hair styliest to the stars), Abigail Folger and her friend Voytec Frokowski. And last, the 8 month old baby that should have been born in less than 2 weeks.

On August 9, 1969 another 2 murders took place and it was obvious these two crimes scences could help the police. Leno and Rosemary LaBianca had been tied up by Charles himself then Manson left and the others came in, did him in.

If he did, he kept it to himself. I imagine this rumor began as the myth that Sharon Tate's baby was cut out of her when Manson's family members killed her. Her baby, a boy they planned to name Paul, was not removed from Tate until her autopsy.

In his book on the Manson Family, Vicent Bugliosi did have his watch stop after Manson gave him the "eye". It creeped him out a little but I think he dismissed it as bad batteries or some such thing and carried on with the trial.

Charles Manson was born November 12, 1934, at 4:40 p.m., Cincinnati General Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio to Colonel Walker Scott and Kathleen Maddox. He was not born "No Name Maddox," his mother explained that she wanted to wait for his grandmother to arrive in Cincinnati before he was officially named, in which he was named after his grandfather Charles Milles Maddox. The birth certificate filed had his full name Charles Milles Maddox, not No Name Maddox as Vincent Bugliosi has said over the years.

It is known for a fact the Manson wandered around Washington State at least once.

Many times. The Manson murders are so well known that it has been all but impossible for the participants to win over any parole board. There is usually a large turn-out for the hearings, usually victims family members that are the voice of the victims. Until her death several years ago, Sharon Tate's mother made it her mission to do everything she could to see that these particular people never walk the streets again. Since her death, Tate's sister has taken up the cause.

At this stage in their lives they would probably pose no threat to society, so they remain in prison on principle alone. Some crimes are just so horrid they can't be forgotten.

They lived on Spahn Ranch in California.

He was not part of the Symbionese liberation army. Charles did not want anybody to be in charge or anybody brainwashing his followers other than him.
