Excuse me but where did you hear this comment about men, especially a Latin man? Men are men, it doesn't matter where they came from. But since I was little, I've heard that Italian men are more romantic than any men, I guess because they know how to make their partners happy. My only opinion guys.

Of course, location does play a role, but only because of culture. It is not anything inherent. Characterizing an entire nationality is unfair since culture tends to vary per city.

If I were you, ignored what this ex mistress is doing, face your husband and ask him to do something, after all you never knew this woman until the day his affair was discovered. Not all mistresses believes on lies from the married man. Maybe the married man is telling a white lies so that way she wouldn't tell him that she wants to end the relationship. Do you think the mistress can't feel if this married man is lying to her, after all if the married man do lie to her, do you think she will be stupid enough not to say anything.

It's a long shot for a friendship to develop even in an open marriage. It is also way beyond any reasonable expectation to ask someone to even try. Spousal relationships are meant to be only between the married couple. There is not any acceptance of a third party into a committed or married relationship, even in these days when almost anything goes.
