He enrolled at Ohio State that fall to play for Brown who had left Massillon Washington High School to coach the Buckeyes. Hudson was just north of Akron and Massillon just south of Akron. Dante, along with Lou Groza and other teammates who had played for Brown at OSU became an important member of the original Browns after returning from duty in WWII.
