Four color process printing is a system where a color image is separated into 4 different color values (called a color separation) by the use of filters and screens. This used to be done with photographic film but is usually done digitally with software now. The result is a color separation of 4 images that when transferred to printing plates and sequentially printed on a printing press with the colored inks cyan (blue), magenta (red), yellow and black (the k in cmyk), reproduces the original color image. Many inkjet printers use the same approach but instead of printing sequentially the print head just uses 4 different ink cartridges. Most of the entire spectrum of colors can be reproduced with just the 4 colors.

Before connecting the new printer, make sure you install the drivers provided by the manufacturer. These should be on a CD that came with the printer. If you do not have/can not find the CD, you should be able to download them from the manufacturer's website.

Laser machining is a process in which a laser beam is moved around a workpiece by computer control. As the laser beam moves around the work, it may be programmed to etch the work surface or cut all the way through the workpiece. Usually laser machining is done to etch designs or words/symbols and/or to cut pre-programmed shapes of material from fairly thin sheets of metal.

For a laser check printing you need a laser check printer. They usually cost about twenty to twenty-five thousand dollars new. You can get a used laser check printer if you are willing search long enough for about fifteen dollars.

No, printers are usually not worth it to fix. I would recommend recycling it. Hp and Dell offer a free recycling service. They give you a pre-paid shipping label to mail it to them.

Drug stores tend not to be equiped to refill printer cartridges. You will find that if you look in the phone book there will be specialized companies that do them even from purinter stores.

Your best bet is to replace the whole fuser assembly. Many manufactures now design their systems with customer performed maintenance in mind. They offer CSR (customer replacable units) for many of their products. The fuser is usually one of the items offered. If your fuser falls into this catagory, see the manufactures representive in your area and order one. Installation is usually a snap out, snap in affair. Oh and yeah....it wont be cheap!

If you are stuck with the older fuser assy and the roll can be replaced by itself. This job should be left to the manufactures tech. The possibility of damaging other parts while trying to remove the fuser heat roll is great (and costly). It would be a crying shame to have the roll almost in and then put a big scratch in the coating. Every copy would show the result of your screw up and no the warrenty does not cover it. I don't know the cost of a fuser roll now, but they were spendy a few years ago.

The hard part is going to be finding the fuser assy and parts. Try the manufactures web site. If you have no luck there, check with a dealer in your area and see if he would be willing to sell you a fuser assy. Either route will be costly.

To replace an HP 58 Ink Cartridge: -Turn on the printer's power. -Lift the print carriage access door, just above the output tray. -Wait for the print carriage to move into the middle of the access area. -Release the cartridge that needs to be replaced,by pressing down lightly on top the carriage latch and then pull the lower section of the latch forward. -Grab the sides of the ink cartridge and pull the cartridge out to remove it. -Remove the replacement cartridge from the packaging. Touching only the black plastic,remove any tape covering the nozzles. -Holding the cartridge with the printed label up, into the print carriage.

You are using a mouse in order to delete an item. Make sure that you are done with the item before deleting it to avoid issues later.

The main piece of information needed is the load wattage or amperage that will be connected to the power supply. Once this is known the power supply of a greater size that the load should be chosen. Also with this information the size of the wires can be calculated from the power supply to the load. Too small a wire will create a voltage drop at the load end of the circuit. This will cause under performance of the load.
