Your best bet is to use a mixture of antivirus softwares. This can cause problems with speed of your computer and sometimes they will tread on each others' territory but if you use the right mixture. The only other option, in extreme cases, is to reinstall the operating system. This would cause you to lose all of your data however so note that as well.

Not that i know but normally a virus is code that makes the computer do things that arent desirable like stealing information etc. but a CPU cant contain a virus because it has no memory to be stored in because its constantly overwritten. If you have a computer with a recovery system built in it could be hiding in there.Sorry

The best free antispyware program out there, I would have to say, it SUPERAntispyware, but the new Avira Antivir Personal contains a free anti-spyware built-in, so you may not need to download an extra anti-spyware, and it may cause problems if you do, anyways.
