Unfortunately, all signs point to "yes." There are several sites that make mention of an altercation that occurred on the set of their movie Firstborn. Corey approached Weller after a take to compliment him on his performance. Instead of thanking the young novice actor, Weller furiously pinned him against a wall and threatened him against ever talking to him after a take. See related link below for more information.
Ironically enough, the performance on which Haim was complimenting Weller was that of an unhinged, abusive drug addict. Hmm...Perhaps there is something to be said for typecasting.
Corey Haim did not appear in "The Outsiders", but a young Tom Cruise and Patrick Swayze did.
There's no real record of Corey Haim's political views. He was free-spirited and first smoked a joint at fifteen on the set of "The Lost Boys". After his drug use became public, Corey participated in a 'Just Say No' campaign to try and regain his reputation. This was an initiative by the First Lady Nancy Reagan during the 1980s to try and stamp out drug use, particularly amongst kids and teens. The political climate of the time was particularly unkind to Corey, a famous teen idol who had struggled with drug addiction from a young age. Though acknowledged as naturally talented, he soon experienced a public fall from grace and his career stalled at twenty.
In a different era, and with the right help, Corey may have been able to weather the storm and gone on to be a successful adult actor.
RIP.
No, but she later played his love interest onscreen in the film "Oh, What A Night".

The song Corey Haims sing in the bath in the movie 'Lost Boys' is: Ain't Got No Home by Clarence (Frogman) Henry:
Lyrics ... NOTE: The CD soundtrack does not have this song on it.
Clarence "Frogman" Henry - Ain't Got No Home Lyrics
I ain't got no home
No place to roam
I ain't got a home
No place to roam
I'm a lonely boy
I ain't got a home
I ain't got no sister
I ain't got a brother
I ain't got a father
Not even a mother
I'm a lonely boy
I ain't got a home
Woo-woo-woo-woo-woo-woo-woo-woo
Well, I got a voice
And I love to sing
I can sing like a bird
And I can sing like a frog
I'm a lonely boy
I ain't got a home
I ain't got a girl
I ain't got a son
I ain't got no kin
I ain't got no one
I'm a lonely frog
I ain't got a home
Woo-woo-woo-woo-woo-woo-woo-woo
Madam, take me in
Let me be your friend
Won't you take me in
Let me be your friend
I'm a lonely boy
I ain't got a home
Woo-woo-woo-woo-woo-woo-woo-woo
