While it was intended for Monteith to continue on as a cast member in Glee's upcoming 5th season, due to his death, the writing and production staff on the show are attempting to find ways for Glee to continue without him. Production on this season was supposed to commence in the upcomming weeks (as of 7/15/13), but it is likely that fillming will be delayed in light of Monteith's death. The show has already been renewed for 2 seasons.
