Why do Marfan syndrome patients need to take antibiotics before seeing the dentist?
Because Marfan patients are at increased risk for infective endocarditis, they must take a prophylactic dose of an antibiotic before having dental work or minor surgery, as these procedures may allow bacteria to enter the bloodstream.
There are two issues here i fact. The first is your claim that the dentist performed a treatment without your permission. If this is true then your dentist may be liable because he is expected to have you sign an informed consent prior to starting any treatment. Are you sure you didn't sign anything. The dentist or one of his staff usually asks you to sign this together with the medical questionaire and patient record that your are asked to accomplish at your first visit to the clinic.
The second issue is of course the gold restoration as a precious metal. Was the gold given back to you? As a routine procedure, a dentist will have a record of your teeth prior to treament. On the pre-treament record it should show the status of your oral cavity including the presence of restorations, decayed teeth, dentures etc. It should also indicate missing or extracted teeth. In the same record, he is also supposed to indicate all dental work that he has done on you. If your dentist has indeed done this that constitutes unprofessional and unethical conduct. You can of course take the dentist to court. I admit that this is not an easy process for you or the dentist. The courts can subpeona these document if need be. You can try also reporting the incident to the national dental association of your country as see what they can do.

Brushing your teeth after your wisdom teeth have been pulled?
DON'T BRUSH YOUR TEETH THE FIRST DAY!!! I know it will be kind of gross, but you can't brush your teeth the first day because you may loosen the stitches. And if the stitches come out, then you will have a disgusting, bloody mess and would have to go back to the dentist to get the stitches re-sewn. That would not be fun! :(
24 hours after surgery you can start brushing your teeth. Brush VERY GENTLY and go VERY SLOWLY when brushing near the wounds.
*I would recommend using toothpaste with baking soda as soon as you can start brushing because in a few days after surgery, you will start getting a disgusting taste in your mouth which is basically your wound oozing out bacteria. (I know it sounds gross... it is. But it's true!) The baking soda will help give you a sweeter, fresher taste in your mouth, and will hopefully stop the oozing within 1 or 2 days instead of a week!
Hope this information helped! Good luck with your surgery. :D

How can you find a dentist in the Cabo San Lucas area for dentures?
You need to research them and see which ones suit you best. As a starting point, look for clinics that have a good reputation and have been treating English speaking patients for many, many years.
Look for clinics that do everything from root canals, crowns and implants to full-mouth cosmetic dental makeovers, using the same materials ordered from the same catalogues US dentists order from.
Dentures secured by mini-plants are the latest and best option for denture patients these days and are offered by some clinics.
What is wrong when the teeth your dentist filled are still hurting three weeks later?
It means that might have a small hole in your tooth with the filling ( which might not be visible.) you will have to go to the dentist again to see if the cavity has continued to grow in your gum or tooth.
It can. I've seen Reiki
do all kinds of different healings
for someone. Also, one thing I do for my gums everyday is take Sunflower Oil approx a tablespoon in the morning before I start my day. I leave the oil in my mouth for 20 min and swish it around my teeth. Then I spit it in a jar and close the lid. It's not good to spit the oil in a toilet or in a sink. It can clog up your drains. That's why I have a designated jar for my oil and when it gets half full, I throw it away. This process through osmosis pulls the toxins out of your mouth surrounding area in your body. I have enjoyed this because it keeps my gums very healthy! And I don't have teeth or gum problems. I do this everyday and my sunflower oil is organic. This is important too.

Can it be possible to put the dentures after pulling out the tooth?
Yes, it is called an immediate denture. The denture is made by the technician before extracting the tooth. After the removal the dentist places the denture on the top of he wound. In this way the patient leaves the office without gaps in his dentition.
In this context, 'lesion' simply means 'cavity'. Apparently, you have many cavities in several teeth throughout your mouth. They are quite extensive, and some may even require root canal therapy in addition to fillings or crowns.
Cavities are caused by acids produced by bacteria exposed to sugars over a period of time that break down the enamel of the teeth. Once the enamel layer is breached, the decay quickly extends into the material called dentin. If not treated properly, the decay can reach the pulp of the tooth where the nerve is located. If that happens, the tooth will die. To save the tooth, a procedure commonly called a root canal must be performed. Otherwise the infection will cause great pain, and the only alternative is to remove the tooth.
If you doubt the dentist's diagnosis, ask for copies of the x-ray films and seek a second opinion from another dentist.
