Dholes (canine)
Also known as the Asian wild dog, the dhole (Cuon alpinus) is a large carnivore found in the tropical, temperate and montane forests of South and Southeast Asia, usually living in extended family units of up to 25 individuals. The dhole is characterized by a tawny or red coat, a darker, bushy tail, round ears and short legs. Dholes are hunted for their fur and meat but they can be used for other things. Some people don't kill them and just capture them to keep as pets or even in zoo as they are very rare to see and are nearly extinct with only about 2,500 Dholes left.
