Why do anorexics drink diet soda?

Soda can also provide energy (caffeine), be filling as a drink, and (if they were also bulimic)the carbonation makes it easier to also throw up later. All of this comes with little or no calories, so anorexics think this is best.

In my opinion you should try to limit the intake of either, but I tend to think the regular Coke is a better option in the long run as long as you don't overdo it and keep a healthy lifestyle. Aspartame is a new thing created in a lab. We think we know a whole lot about it but we still have a hard time figuring out why certain diseases are growing so rapidly and I'd rather not be a guinea pig for a product big business created to give people "peace of mind."

Actually diet soda can not make people gain weight due to the fact that there is no fat, calories, sugars, etc in it. Except maybe the ingredients in diet soda could maybe be fating but other wise diet soda in the long run can not make people gain weight. Although sugar coke is high in sugars and calories.
