A great question however I doubt there is an answer. My guess would be who ever domesticated the first dog invented the idea of dog training.
A Giant Schnauzer named Ch. Jafrak Phillipe Olivier.
I show my own dog. A lot depends on how far the show are from you. The entry fee is usually around $25-30 around here in the Oklahoma Texas area. You will have to add in the gas and if you are paying someone else to handle your dog. It is a bit scary at first, but once we won our first 5 point major, our second one following 5 days later, we decided not to hire a professional handler. It is more fun to us to do it ourselves as a family. I would personally have a hard time spending $5000 on showing one dog. But depending on what your drive and gas prices are, it could get real expensive real fast.
The winner of Best In Show receives £100, Reserve Best In Show (second place) and Best of Group each receive £50, Reserve Best of Group and Best of Breed each receive £25, and Best of Opposite Sex (second place within breed judging) receives £10.
The reason the prizes are fairly small is because the main appeal of winning at Crufts is prestige within the dog world and making your name known across the world.
"Da Funk" by Daft Punk is one.
It depends on the show -- some smaller shows only have a few awards for the top-placing dogs, and larger shows can have awards for multiple classes within each breed.
Generally, all shows have an award for Best In Show, as well as the top 1-4 dogs in each group, and an award for the Best of Breed dog for each breed.

Tail docking for cosmetic reasons is now illegal in the UK (where Crufts is held) and has been since 2007. Any dog that was docked after April 2007 is barred from the show ring - unless it is there to demonstrate it's working ability and not be shown for looks. Even if a dog was docked legally in another country, it cannot be shown at any dog show in UK where the public pay to see it.
Best of show. This shows people that an animal, no matter what the breed, has the best conformation of all breeds displayed at that show.
Hey,
You have to teach your dog obedience and some tricks to do like waving under, between your legs. It's a hard journey but if you do it passionately then it could be a very nice and "profitable" thing to do. And also you will feel good and you can spend some valuable time with your favourite dog.
If it's ok for you, I put my messenger below where you can message me and then I can tell you more about it.

It started around 1876 when a group of men began to gather at a hotel to discuss their sporting dogs. They named their club 'The Westminster Breeding Association' named after their favorite hotel. It 1877 they changed their name to Westminster Kennel Club.
Yes, any breed (even mixed breeds) can enter in Agility.
Canadian Kennel Club registered dogs are eligible to compete in American Kennel Club events under their own CKC number. If you are living in the US, it is best to obtain an AKC registration number in addition to the CKC number for the dog. Contact the AKC Special Registry Services.
You would need a clear copy of the CKC registration & a copy of the certified pedigree, two 3x5 color photos of the dog (front and side, standing), an AKC application completed in ink, the application fee and proof of tattoo or microchip.
The show was originally created by a man named Charles Cruft, so the show is named after him.
It is different at every show, but people bring their dogs to shows to win rossettes or just to have fun. Serious dog shows are much more competitive than Companion Dog Shows. Crufts is the World's Biggest Dog Show and is held at the NEC in Birmingham, England, every year.
