Baby Alive dolls though, can be fed a green goop that is in a powder format which is included with the doll. When you add water, it becomes gooey. Then, Baby Alive poops out the green goop.

Nowadays, you may find nesting dolls in a Target store, but these varieties are machine made, not authentic, and just not the same.

Sometimes you can find a nice old authentic set at a vintage store or antique shop.

I don't know how the pioneers made them, but I can make them with a large rag, some scissors, and three things to tie it with (twist ties, cable ties, etc). Take your large rag, and roll it up in both directions so that if you were to cut it down the middle, you would have two rolls. Then fold it about a third of the way down, flat side out. On this piece, cut between the two rolls to a little more than halfway up, and tie it at the top of the cut. Now you should have a head and arms, with a body. Now, on your main piece, start at the bottom and cut between the two rolls to the bottom of your arms. You should now have two legs. Tie each of your legs about two centimeters from the bottom of your doll to create feet. Your done!

I'm afraid they are not worth any where near what was paid for them. If they sell on the 2nd market they may go for around $20.00 or under.

One way to be search the completed listings for "Franklin Mint" dolls, this is on the advanced search of Ebay. Having said that I've just ran a search of Google which has provided some results.

1. How to Make a Wanga Doll
2. Step1

   Draw the basic design that the Wanga doll on the fabric that is to be used in the creation. This design can be as simple as that of the common "beanbag" doll or as complex of a figure as the creator is comfortable with creating.

3. Step2

   Cut out the designed doll shape on two pieces of fabric. It is generally best to simply lay the fabric pieces one atop the other and cut out both at the same time so that the pieces are identical once finished.

4. Step3

   Write the desired wish that will be asked of the spirit residing in the Wanga doll on a strip of clean, white paper. This paper will be placed inside the doll.

5. Step4

   Place fill material between the two pieces of fabric. The fill material may be cotton stuffing, batting, dry rice or beans. Also, place the strip of paper from step three in amongst the fill material.

6. Step5

   Sew the two pieces of fabric together along all edges. This should create the rough doll shape that was previously designed.

7. Step6

   Decorate the Wanga doll as desired. Decorations often consist of bead, strips of cloth or hair, or stitch work to give the doll a more human appearance.

I'm sure you can, but it may make their hair frizzy. Also, if you do, make sure to rinse out the shampoo and conditioner really well, or else the hair will feel chalky.

Firstly, remove the dolls clothes and any hair accessories. Use a flea comb to get out any dust from the dolls hair. Air freshener may be used to freshen the hair. Take a piece of white bread and remove the crust, then roll the bread into a ball and use said ball to remove any discolored parts or dirt on the dolls body. Tip a cotton swab in rubbing alcohol and use it to clean harder to reach parts of the doll. Put the dolls clothes into the dryer with a dryer sheet for a 10 minute air-only cycle.

There are several things to consider when valuing a Patti Playpal doll. Most important is...CONDITION! Are there any cracks? Loss of facial coloring? Does she have her original clothes and shoes? Do you have the box and/or hand tag? In addition, the hair color and style is also a factor. Does she have a rare hair color or unusual style? Doll reference books can give an idea, Ebay can give one too.

You can find molly the doll on eBay and most other places. when i was little i watched it all the time. now i'm trying to find the original molly the doll some day she kept it as a keep safe but i think its still out there I'm 13 now so its kinda babish but i love her and still kinda watch it so best bet is eBay!!!
