Yes, all the dragons in DragonVale are breedable without spending cash. Some of them are pretty rare, and they take a little time. I have managed to get all of them without purchasing any of them. Your best bet is to look up the best combinations to breed each type of dragon before you start on them. Also, if you do the arena everyday, you will start to collect gems from that.

when you reach level 21 you can buy shrines. Shrines increases the maximum level of a certain type of dragons. with a fire shrine you can make your fire dragons have a higher max level, not sure what level you can get them up to yet though...

Each day there is an event in the Colosseum. The type of event is visible on the flags flying outside the building and on the event screen. Each event is based on one of the elements in the game.

To choose a dragon to compete, touch the Colosseum and view the event screen. At the top of the screen is the event type. The strategy is to choose what you consider the best dragon in your park to compete in that event type. For example, an Earth Dragon might win an Earth based event. A higher level dragon gives a better chance of winning. However, the results may be completely random, for example a Fire Dragon may win a gold trophy in a Cold event.

Every 24 hours the event type changes. After you place your dragon in the Colosseum you cannot remove it for 24 hours or speed up the event using gems. The dragon in the Colosseum does not earn income in its habitat during the event and you cannot fill the vacant habitat spot with another dragon nor sell its habitat.

That depends on the cut, carat, color and clarity. For e.g, a round 1 carat D color, IF clarity, and an excellent cut diamond costs about $11, 081 and a 1 carat marquise diamond with the same characteristics costs about $17, 066, both of which are GIA certified. Another example is of a round G color, VS1 clarity, very good cut diamond is for $5521 and a princess diamond with the same characteristics is for $4391. So it all depends on what you are looking for and what your budget is.

A water dragon is a dragon with the water element or a dragon made fully out of water. Same with other dragons like a fire dragon. Its either a dragon with the fire element or it is made fully of fire.
