The best. Easter morning we woke up to find our Easter baskets full of candy to the top. We would dress up in our new Easter clothes, dress, hat, purse.shoes and gloves. Off to Easter Sunday Mass, Home for lunch with a big Easter Family dinner and then outside for an Easter Egg hunt. Such fond memories.

Semanta Santa, (equivalent to Easter Sunday in English) is celebrated in Spain and lasts ten days. Just like Easter it is different every year. For 2013 it started on March 22. In 2014 it starts on April 11.

Because the Hebrew calender follows a lunar cycle.

The Easter Exultant is sung at the beginning of the Easter Vigil. It is also called the Easter Proclamation because it tells the story of creation, Adam & Eve, all the way through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ...Our Savior, who's resurrection we celebrate at the Easter Vigil. The Exultant has two MOST IMPORTANT WORDS...Happy Fault!!!. This refers to the Garden of Eden and the fall of Adam & Eve for without this Happy Fault we would never have known Jesus as the Son of God coming to earth to give His life for our salvation.

Well, it depends...I guess that everyone has a different Easter bunny. Officially, weddings are not to be performed during lent. It does happen, however. The Saturday before Easter Sunday is called Easter Eve or Holy Saturday. It is commonly lumped more into the Easter season than lent, so it may be allowed. However, many pastors would discourage it as a wedding may take the focus away from observances of Easter- which is the highest holy day in the Church calendar.

Jesus died on that day and rose again

Easter to some might just be getting candy or a trip from the Easter bunny, but the main focus should always be our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us on good Friday and rose on Easter Sunday. He DIED for ME and YOU! He was willing to give his own life for us, people that would love him and even for the people that would betray him. That is how much he loves us. That is why we live today. That is an almighty savior. He was nailed to the cross after being beaten with a whip that had thorns at the end so that it tore his back up. He carried the heavy cross up the hill but was so badly beaten that he fell. After they had made it on the top of the hill they drove nails through his wrists and feet to be hung on the cross. He carried the sin of the world on his sholders. All of our "bads" , all of our wrong doings, he held tham and made them his own, so that we, sinners, could live without sin on our sholders. He suffered for us and the least we can all do is to show him that we do love him and that we will declare him as our ONLY God and savior, which he is.

Easter is the day Jesus rose from the dead. Good Friday was the day when he died on the cross for our sins.

Jesus was dead for three days, as follows. Jesus died on the cross on Good Friday (day 1), He was dead in the tomb on Saturday (day 2) and Sunday (day 3). He arose from the grave on Sunday (day 3). Christians refer to the day of Jesus' death as Good Friday and the day of His resurrection as Easter. The day of Christ's death is referred to as Good Friday because through the pain, and horror of His sacrificial death on the cross came our salvation.
