An El Degas is a MIJ guitar manufacturer. they made copies of other famous brand name guitars. I own an el degas LP goldtop, it is a well made LP copy. Unfortunatley there isn't a lot of info about them.....it is speculated that they were made at the matsuzaku plant in japan along with the Ibanez, aria and univox guitars, but no real concrete evidence.....especially since the plant burned down.
