What is a better job between a police dispatcher or police officer?

In my opinion, the answer depends on a lot of things. If you can't pass the police physical exam, being a police officer isn't an option, but you can still save lives as an emergency dispatcher. Dispatchers are trained to coach people through CPR, talk people out of suicide, calm down frightened people and track down a phantom cell call, all while they're sending first responders to the scenes of various calls. They are multi-taskers in the extreme and are a very important link in the law enforcement chain. The job is high stress and is not for everyone, but I know several dispatchers who have done it more than 20 years.
