Well, It can be scary... I remember when i first told my mum... I was 11, and blood started to come... I didn't know what it was, i thought i had some infection or something (even though i knew about periods then) I put some tissue paper in my pants. Then when i next went to the toilet the tissue was covered in blood... My best friend was outside and i told her what had happened (she was already on her periods) she told me i had started.

Basically get your mum in a quite place and tell her something has happened... Make sure no one is in the house as it can be embarrassing if someone bursts in and hears. Then just tell your mum what happened.

When i told mine she gave me a big hug and apologised.

its not common but im 13 and im a size 34E so i think its normal considering it comes from your genes and the size is not in you control so it is normal to be different :P

The lining of the uterus breaking is a sign of menstration.. During the cycle, a woman's ovaries stick to the uteran walls waiting for a potential candidate (sperm) to fertalize it.. if the egg is not fertalized, our body no longer has use for the egg or the uteran wall, so our body sheds or "breaks" the wall, thus the period happens...it breaks because the body no longer needs that sticky wall holding the egg. and if the egg is fertalized then the wall will thicken (I think) in order to keep the egg stable for the development of the fetus.

Menarche, or a girl's first period/first menstrual cycle, can only occur during puberty, is a part of puberty, and by definition is generally considered to be one of or the LAST change the occurs in puberty for girls. Other changes such as growth spurts, changes in breast tissue that progresses to the development of breasts, hair growth in new places (e.g. underarms, pubic hair), and all the changes that are occurring in less obvious ways (changes in the brain, hormone levels, etc) all usually happen prior to or at least start before menarche (in normal, healthy girls). If you are really asking perhaps "why it is considered the culmination of puberty in girls", then the above is your answer (it happens last, or close to last). But if you did indeed mean the question exactly as written, I suppose the real answer is "It's not an indication of puberty for girls." It would simply be a definition, I suppose - menarche merely means a girl, who is currently going through puberty, has experienced another change that happens during that time. So many other changes will happen first, like I explained above, so menarche is not used as an "indication" as far as I know. One cannot determine when to start wearing a real bra by the girls age, it all depends on weather you need it or not, but usually girls start to wearing training bras/ crop tops underneath their shirts when they are 10-12 years of age, then you start to wear a normal bra when you feel that you need one.

Many people believe that is wrong to wear a bra to bed because it can cause strain on the back by wearing a bra. It can be good for the breast to have the support of the bra at night though it really is personal preference.
