It is unknown, all that is known that an unconfirmed animatronic bit out somebody's frontal lobe. Either Foxy, Mangle, Freddy, or Fredbear. I personally think it was Mangle, though.

It is unknown why Purple Guy killed the kids, and Scott hasn't revealed it, and I don't think he will. However, here are some possible reasons:

-Purple Guy hated kids, maybe he had bad experiences with them

-Purple Guy has mental issues and is physiologically messed up

-He was angry and decided to take his anger out by killing them

-He was making kills possibly as a satanic ritual or getting into a gang that required a kill

I really don't know, but number two is the best bet, I would say.

Purple Guy's skin was most likely not purple. It is genetically impossible for a human's skin to be purple. However, in the sprite shown in the game, Purple Guy is simply a purple humanlike pixelated- thing. It was most likely he was wearing a purple suit when the murders happened.

FNaF 3 is Five Nights at Freddy's 3, third game in the survival horror series. Set in either 2015 or 2017, the player once again takes the role of a security guard, this time watching over a museum called Fazbear's Fright, a place built to showcase the macabre events (though believed to be urban legends) that occured at the Freddy Fazbear franchises.
