Main responsibilities The cabin crew then has to greet the passengers as they board the aircraft, direct them to their seats and ensure that the entire luggage is safety stored away in the over head cabins. Once all the passengers are on board then the cabin crew demonstrate the emergency procedures whilst the plane is preparing for take off. During a flight the crew members assist passengers, make calls on behalf of the captain and serve food, drinks and sell duty free goods. In case of emergencies, cabin crews are there to reassure passengers so that they follow the correct emergency procedures. The crew may have to deal with several emergencies such as cabin fires or first aid situations. At the end of a flight cabin crew members are there to make sure that passengers disembark the aircraft safely. The crew members are then asked to complete a written report that records all details of the flight. For instance; duty free sales, food and drinks sales, any unusual incidents and customs and immigration documentation. Working environment The hours of work for cabin crew can be extremely variable including weekends, nights and public holidays. Depending on the job, cabin crew may spend a considerable amount of time away from home. Hours can also be affected if there are a number of delays and cancellations to flights. Cabin crew members work extremely and spend a lot of time on their feet. They are expected to wear a uniform, be smart and well groomed at all times. well.. all you have to do is get used to serving your family members food and drink and ask them time to time what they would like to drink.. ask every 2-3 hours..

then try and apply for a job at your nearest airport and ask to become a stewardess then they'll test you out on how polite you ask if they need anything..

I don't know whether what you meant is the flight purser or the head cabin attendant. They are the higher ranked flight attendants usually gained due to them working for over 25 years in the airline. They are responsible for overseeing all the activities of her cabin crews in the flight, often decides what to do in a certain situation and referred as the leader in the flight.

The airlines provide all of the specialty schooling to their flight attendants. You will need some specific abilities to be accepted for entry into their schools. You must be able to communicate well and be able to handle stress. A second language is almost a reaquirement for most airlines now. Flight attendants need to be well educated so that they can speak intelligently to the passengers. In general, good grades in school, well rounded personality.

I was a flight attendant for 10 years and it all depends on how good you are,how nice you are to the people,etc but the highest you can get for this job is 45,000 I made around 40,000 Because I was nice but It all depends on how good you are the better the more money you make like most jobs.

Yes, those wings/badges on the flight attendants uniforms are made of their hard work. They are trained extensively as their work place is not the same as if in a hotel or restaurant. They may need to swim a hundred meters depending on the airline or the airline school requires. They are even taught about social graces, etiquette, how to sit, walk, properly. They are even trained on what to do in emergency situations, such as fire, evacuation, water/terrain landings, hijackings, first aid and the like. Trained in simulators, or a situation that simulates the actual activity. They are even needed to study several books as regulations, safety, and standards are always up-to date in the airline industry. This goes to the famous quoting "My wings are a thousand books"

Its the personal care among passengers, their eagerness to help, and their long patience. Most of all they spend most of the time smiling, and only talk if needed to. Whenever they are upset or angry due to a certain passenger pissing him/her they have to hold back their feelings and keep on showing a positive look or even still smile. Go to the lavatory, and blow all the frustrations there or simply cry, then after re-touch of the make-up get out of the lavatory and still smile. In an emergency situation they if possible they would sacrifice for the sake of passenger's safety.

A stage manager is extremely important to a play. They are, simply put, in charge of everything.

They are often a part of casting a show, and obtaining contact information of all actors. From the beginning of the rehearsal process, stage managers record all blocking (the movements of actors on stage), and as actors become off-book (with lines memorized) stage managers have the script in front of them to call out lines for absent actors or line corrections and prompts when errors are made. Stage managers also help to make sure all actors know about rehearsal and are reported to for absenses, and help keep rehearsals running on time.

All lighting and sound requirements are noted by the stage manager, particularly the timing of each so the effect on the performance can be judged. Then, during the show, these cues are "called" by the stage manager to the lighting, sound, and effects operators to make sure they are executed on time.

Throughout the rehearsal process, the stage manager maintains a "prompt script" with all technical cues and information as well as blocking and anything else important to the show. The stage manager also prepares a rehearsal report after each rehearsal to take note of any changes in the show, such as new props, set, or costumes added, new technical cues etc. Similarly, a production report is prepared after each show to ensure that the actors are holding to the director's vision and everything that had been rehearsed, and make note of anything that needs to be changed, fixed etc. before the next show.

The stage manager is also responsible for communication with everyone involved in the show. There are many technical departments, such as lighting, sound, costumes, set construction, and props, and the stage manager oversees these, passes along the director's vision, and coordinates their activities. Depending on the size of the production, the stage manager may actually be responsible for one or more of these areas. Stage managers may also work with budget for the show and scheduling of performances.

Often, there are assistant stage managers that assist the stage manager, look after overseeing some technical areas, and work backstage to make sure actors are coming on stage at the right times.

Essentially, the stage manager is the organizational force behind the entire show and keeps everything together. A stage manager also tends to be a friend and trusted person for both the cast and crew, and often deals with human aspects and problems as well.
