Some people believe that ghosts have the ability to move objects and close doors, as these phenomena are often reported in haunted locations. However, there is no scientific evidence to support this claim, and explanations for such occurrences could range from natural causes like drafts and vibrations to psychological factors.

Long requires both a definition for 'proof' and a discussion of naturalistic methodology. Proof in a scientific sense can only be attained in mathematical relationships (such as F=ma), it cannot be attained in proving something's existence. In a colloquial sense virtually anything can be 'proven' scientifically as long as there is no reasonable doubt for not existing.

Science only can address things which can be measured and observed in the natural environment or in experiments. Ghosts and all other supernatural phenomenon can not be observed in this way because they are not part of the natural world, something that does not exist in the natural world cannot be measured or observed and therefore science cannot make any conclusions about their existence. So science cannot disprove the existence of ghosts, but it also hasn't found any evidence for their existence.

I know that there isn't, because I've searched everywhere, and I didn't find anything. Furthermore, seeing is believing, and I've never seen a ghost or heard ghost voices, although others "claim" to have seen or heard.

Nothing scares ghosts. Ghosts can scare people, but nothing scares ghosts. However, an item or person (or a representative of an item or person) that was made over one thousand years old, will cause damage to the ghost and weaken it (then pull back to the ghost dimension). A religious item is said to give 'protection', as they are a representative of a item or person born thousands of years ago. This is why newer religion do not provide protection. Also, when ghost are in an over one thousand year old building, it is because they cannot 'phase' through the walls, stopping them from exiting (also they are terrible navigators).

Ghosts knock on walls (of rooms) because they know some human is inside the room. Mostly it is because when a ghost had a physical body, it must have died either by committing suicide or by an accident. So it must have some things to complete which it did not in the course of its bodily existence. It specifically comes to the room where it stayed in physical form. It knocks only may be it knows some human is inside its room when it had a physical form and it wants to get in and be in the room and knocking can be presumed to let know the human inside the room that the ghost has to come in.

See, at least the ghost has some manners of knocking on a door or wall before getting in. Some humans even don't have that etiquette.

It's actually pretty uncertain. According to what I've seen in several supernatural shows and websites is that most ghosts are depicted as white or black. But ghosts are known to possess humans. Since we cannot see them, then they would be clear or invisible in color.

So it doesn't really matter what color a ghost is. There is no solid answer really.

I hope this has been helpful as it initially troubled me when first seeing the screens.

Since ghosts are spiritual entities, traditional physical attacks won't harm them. However, they may be dispersed or driven away through rituals or ceremonies designed to banish them from a particular place. Consulting with a spiritual or religious leader experienced in dealing with spirits may be helpful.

They are typically caused by minute particles in the surrounding air; they are enhanced only due to the higher resolution capabilities of today's digital cameras. Most people are familiar with one type of light artifact already - the "starring" effect of light. There are even special filters for cameras designed to reproduce the effect.

Even with the equipment those of us who do Paranormal Investigations have to actively search for ghosts, they are elusive. One of major theories (and one that I myself believe) is that ghosts exist in our plane, but at a different wavelength of light than our naked eyes can normally see. Occasionally, they are able to manifest themselves enough to where their light wavelength and frequency changes enough to where they can be seen. An example is a Hummingbird - when it's flying, their wings are moving so fast they are hard to see because the increased vibrational frequency alters their light wavelength properties, and thus our own ability to see them easily. However, when they hover to feed, the are more easily seen, in part because they are in one relative spot, and have slowed down their vibrational frequency (wing flapping) enough to alter their wavelength enough to be seen more readily. Think of it as a natural form of camouflage.

You have to remember that a ghost is simply the disembodied spirit of a person. Therefore a ghost can make any sound a person is capable of e.g howling, moaning, wailing, talking, screaming, crying, sighing, etc.
