There is no scientific evidence to support the idea that crystals can harm ghosts or spirits. It is basically for achievements, presuming your playing the 360 version (not quite so sure about PS 3 but I'm sure it's the same principle. Since ghosts are spiritual entities, traditional physical attacks won't harm them. However, they may be dispersed or driven away through rituals or ceremonies designed to banish them from a particular place. Consulting with a spiritual or religious leader experienced in dealing with spirits may be helpful.

The "orbs" seen on digital pictures are artifacts of light caused by the way digital (and even some film cameras) light is processed. They are typically caused by minute particles in the surrounding air; they are enhanced only due to the higher resolution capabilities of today's digital cameras. Most people are familiar with one type of light artifact already - the "starring" effect of light. There are even special filters for cameras designed to reproduce the effect.

Even with the equipment those of us who do Paranormal Investigations have to actively search for ghosts, they are elusive. One of major theories (and one that I myself believe) is that ghosts exist in our plane, but at a different wavelength of light than our naked eyes can normally see. Occasionally, they are able to manifest themselves enough to where their light wavelength and frequency changes enough to where they can be seen. An example is a Hummingbird - when it's flying, their wings are moving so fast they are hard to see because the increased vibrational frequency alters their light wavelength properties, and thus our own ability to see them easily. However, when they hover to feed, the are more easily seen, in part because they are in one relative spot, and have slowed down their vibrational frequency (wing flapping) enough to alter their wavelength enough to be seen more readily. Think of it as a natural form of camouflage.

You have to remember that a ghost is simply the disembodied spirit of a person. Therefore a ghost can make any sound a person is capable of e.g howling, moaning, wailing, talking, screaming, crying, sighing, etc.

In stories, especially childrens stories, the traditional sound/word would be "Boooo".

Well to find a ghost you need to set out a camra overnight and record. The next morning check what it recorded and you might see a ghost... If you see a ghost go to the nearest church and tell the priest to check your house/ apartment to check it because you just might have a demon.

the next day that someone in my family died and they touched me on my hand and i was in grade 3! and if a ghost touchs you than it might like try for you to like talk to them or they are trying to tell you something!

Haunting's were reported from the Wyrick family in Ellerslie, Georgia. Their daughter at the age of three had a strange friend she called 'Mr. Gordy,' but her parents were not that upset over this as many children can have made-up friends. 'Mr. Gordy' soon became their daughter's constant companion. When Heidi was six she awoke with marks on her cheek and a year later her father had marks on various parts of his body. Heidi was still seeing visions of 'Mr. Gordy,' but this time he came with a companion that Heidi said was just a shadow with a hooded face and severed hand. The family must have done some research because Mr. Gordy and his one-handed companion were residents of the area that had long since passed away. Some say how could Heidi have known this and are making a mystery out of it. It is highly probable that stories have circulated through the area of these two men and children are often open to suggestion. Heidi is over 16 now and she still has visions. Her mother and younger sister sometimes see visions as well. The family never moved, but did get in a parapsychologist who simply said it was 'place memories.' The family was not interested in his theory so contacted a woman psychic who detected more than one spirit and one out of the bunch was evil while one was a 'protector.' After a decade of these manifestation the Wyricks involved their church and had an exorcism done. To this day the Wyrick family still see the visions.

It is to be noted that several stories have been done by the media (media frenzy) and no concrete evidence has occurred so it's not written in stone that this is a hoax or not.
