Why can't ghosts appear where ever they want to?
A ghost can't appear whenever or where ever it wants to because it may residual. A residual haunting is a 'playback' of past events that may be trapped there, playing over and over. In other cases an Intelligent haunting may take place, where the spirit may interact and respond to the environment around them. Some are not powerful enough to manifest from energy around them to become an aspiration and show themselves. Other spirits choose not to. Finally spirits are usually still around in our world because they do not want to travel on, or a event in their life or a person around them, has a tragic thing happen to them, causing the spirit to be at unrest and want to stay in a certain area, where A) They Died B) That event took place. I am not certain about all of this but anyway, the fact is they are sometimes even trapped, or don't want to leave the place they haunt.

yes, it doesnt matter how old, as long as there happened to be a traumatic physical event, previously in the house, or someone died and they didnt fufil their purpose in life so was cursed to the place in which they spent their time. I had a house that was haunted while I was growing up...and it was only 10 years old when we got it.

How do you summon ghosts in abandoned buildings?
NEVER EVER EVER with a Ouija board or anything like this that lets spirts take control of your body. This could be very dangerous and you could bring thing home with you that you would not want around. I wouldn't recommend summoning them they will show themselves give signs to you if they want to. Or if they are intelligent. A lot of spirits are not intelligent which means they are residual which means its like a record playing over and over. They do not know you are there and not there to interact with you. It just happens like a record playing a song over and over.

Does anyone have a good ghost story?
I was on this Island. And it was a long time ago. I don't remember where it was, and I slept in this beautiful house. And I fell asleep in a bedroom and I heard noiseshuge thumping. And the sound of moving chairs and beds. I felt a cold breeze across my body. I was scared but i thought it would just be the A/C. I want back to sleep. While i was trying to sleep i was thinking that maybe a ghost or a spirit is trying to contact me. The next morning I asked everybody that if they heard the sounds I heard. When I told my mom she was concerned and asked the lady who let stay in this house. She said that " there was 2 little girls and they would fight, fight, fight." Then I think she said that killed each other on accidentally. They died at a young age of 30. Now, I guess that they are scaring people that are living in the house. That's is my ghost experience.

yes for sure they are guarded by spirit's if you call them, but more of a genie especially if the owner of the treasure is dead. if you chase away the genie, he will summon the owner to tell him that someone has invaded the site.

If you mean to be in your home then mostly because that's where they died or where they were mostly at. If you just mean what causes ghosts then its mostly because they don't know their died yet and need help finding out. Sometimes its because they want to hurt the person that abused them before passing over to the other side
RosieElliott: I think i and some other people think that ghosts are people from the past and are alive but in the past.Ok so say that there is a crack a crack in time and space in your bedroom and your bedroom sits on a field in the past like in the year 1700.And a farmer is walking along his field and walks into the time crack so that as soon as he does you see him in your room where the time crack is and he disappeared.

Why could you see a ghost dressed like a monk?
The question as to why some people see spirits or ghosts dressed in specific clothes has puzzled researchers for a long time.
If the ghost is a residual haunting, meaning the activity plays over and over again stuck in an infinite loop, then it may just be the energy of a monk still walking around where it used to live and work. Residual hauntings have no control over anything, and will always appear the same, no matter how many times you catch it. That's the simple answer...

If spirits let us see themselves based on their own self perception and their own memories, then it stands to reason that we're seeing a spirit the way it remembers itself. A monk will probably remember itself dressed in monk's robes, the same way a hospital patient may return to us wearing a hospital gown.
