Can Magellan Gps be used in Israel?
I am more familiar with Garmin than Magellan but one thing is sure. If you bought the Magellan here in the states it definitely does not have pre-loaded map sets for Israel. You will have to check with Magellan to see if they offer an additional map set for that region of the world. Typically these add-ons are sold either via CD-ROM or on SD cards.
What is the range on the homeguard 200?
about 100 ft. I was on one and went across the street and attended a meeting for 2 hours and it never detected me being gone at all. You can also have someone watch the range light and when it turns red that's your range. Denver Co. got smart and disconnected the range light on their boxes.
Yes, GPS works in Canada. GPS satellites are positioned in orbits that cover the entire globe, allowing GPS receivers to pick up signals and determine location accurately in Canada and everywhere else on Earth.
The main difference is in how the carbon brushes are used. In an AC slip ring motor, the brushes transfer power to the rotor through slip rings, whereas in a DC commutator motor, the brushes switch the current direction on the rotating armature to maintain torque and rotation. Additionally, the design and composition of the brushes may vary to accommodate the specific requirements of each motor type.
gps is use to determine a place in which you are at by a satellite by a formila of (velocity x time= distance). and they also use a thing called triangulation which is using three to prove latitude and longitude but four to obtain altitude. (there are currently 24 satellites in the air). the military uses gps to know where all there soldjers are and to get a clue on where the enemy is. comertial airlines use gps to determin where there air planes are and to know how close other one are.
Do you need a memory card to turn on a garmin gps device?
No, you do not need a memory card to turn on a Garmin GPS device. The device can still operate and function without a memory card inserted, but you may need a memory card for storing additional maps or data.
What exact values will the GPS of your car return?
The GPS system in a car typically returns values such as latitude, longitude, altitude, and sometimes speed and heading information. These values can be used to determine the vehicle's position and navigation.
Can you locate a GPS device if you lose it?
A GPS system placed on a vehicle have to use a RF transmitter to send its location to a remote receiver so it is very easy to trace with a wideband receiver fitted with a signal strength meter even the local oscillator of the GPS receiver can be picked up by a tracer receiver circuit diagrams and receivers wil soon be posted on the following website URL: http://www.patenttrade.ne Just look around. Their is either an antenna and wire or a black box somewhere. It will not be disguised and will probably have a Brand+gps written on it.
What is the two GPS coordinates based on?
GPS coordinates are based on latitude and longitude, which are angular measurements that specify a location on the Earth's surface. Latitude measures north-south position, while longitude measures east-west position. By using these two coordinates, GPS devices can pinpoint an exact location on the Earth.
Difference between AP series GPs reis?
AP - Arithmetic Progression
GP - Geometric Progression
AP:An AP series is an arithmetic progression, a sequence of numbers such that the difference between the consecutive terms is constant. For instance, the sequence 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, … is an arithmetic progression with common difference 2.If the initial term of an arithmetic progression is and the common difference of successive members is d, then the nth term of the sequence is given by:
and in general
A finite portion of an arithmetic progression is called a finite arithmetic progression and sometimes just called an arithmetic progression.
The behavior of the arithmetic progression depends on the common difference d. If the common difference is:
The sum of the members of a finite arithmetic progression is called an arithmetic series.
Expressing the arithmetic series in two different ways:
Adding both sides of the two equations, all terms involving d cancel:
Dividing both sides by 2 produces a common form of the equation:
An alternate form results from re-inserting the substitution: :
In 499 AD Aryabhata, a prominent mathematician-astronomer from the classical age of Indian mathematics and Indian astronomy, gave this method in the Aryabhatiya (section 2.18) .[1]
So, for example, the sum of the terms of the arithmetic progression given by an = 3 + (n-1)(5) up to the 50th term is
GP:A GP is a geometric progression, with a constant ratio between successive terms. For example, the seriesis geometric, because each successive term can be obtained by multiplying the previous term by 1 / 2.
Geometric series are one of the simplest examples of infinite series with finite sums, although not all of them have this property. Historically, geometric series played an important role in the early development of calculus, and they continue to be central in the study of convergence of series. Geometric series are used throughout mathematics, and they have important applications in physics, engineering, biology, economics, computer science, queuing theory, and finance.
Gender tracking is the process of documenting the differences in the way males and females behave in order to determine possible behavior in the future. Things such as physical traits, economic classes, and job choices are all documented.
How do you program johnny's GPS?
To program Johnnys gps, each line on the grid represents 3 minutes. North adds 3, south subtracts 3. West adds 3 minutes and east subtracts 3 minutes.
For example Dread Isle is at 24'00 N and 73'24W.
Bermuda is six notches up and one to the left.
Thats + 3minx6 North and + 3minx1 West.
24'00 + 18 min = 24'18
73'24+ 3 min = 73'27
When was the gps navstar first launched?
The first GPS Navstar satellite was launched on February 22, 1978. This was the beginning of the GPS system, which has now grown to include a constellation of over 30 satellites providing global positioning and navigation services.

What is the difference in faster time and shorter time when using an automotive gps?
If someone uses the phrases "faster time" and "shorter time" when referring to an automotive GPS, they're probably talking about the exact same thing. It's just a question of how they word it.
"Shorter time" is the more correct way to phrase this; after all, time is just a measurement, and a smaller measurement of time is most ofter referred to as being "shorter."
For the purposes of human experience, time is close enough to being constant to not be relevant to automotive GPS. So the term "faster time" is little more than awkward phrasing.
A more common discussion, in the context of automotive GPS, is "faster trip" vs. "shorter distance." The former is an estimation of the amount of time that a tip takes, while the latter measures the total distance traveled over the course of the trip.

Begin RR Connection Establishment
Call related information needs to be transported from the mobile phone to the Mobile Switching Center (MSC). This requires the establishment
of a Radio Resource (RR) connection to MSC. The first phase of the call setup just sets up this RR connection.
RR CHANNEL REQUEST
RR connection establishment is
triggered by sending the Channel
RACH
Request message. This message
requests the Base Station System (BSS)
for allocation for radio resources for the
RR connection setup. The mobile now
waits for an assignment on the Access
Grant Channel (AGCH). At this point the
mobile is listening to the AGCH for a
reply.
Note: The RR CHANNEL REQUEST is sent on a Random Access Channel (RACH). This is a slotted aloha channel that can be used at random,
without any coordination between the mobiles. Any mobile can transmit on this channel whenever it wishes. If two mobiles transmit on the
channel at the same time, their messages will be lost in a collision. The mobiles will detect the collision via a timeout and retransmit the
message after a random back off.
allocate
The BSS allocates a Traffic Channel
TCH
(TCH) to the mobile. The TCH allocation
assigns a specifies a frequency and a
timeslot on that frequency. After the
mobile receives this message, the
mobile shall only use the specified
resources for communication with the
mobile network.
RR IMMEDIATE ASSIGNMENT
The BSS transmits the radio resource
assignment to the Mobile via the AGCH
AGCH, Radio_Resource = (TCH, Frequency,
Timeslot), Time Correction, Frequency Correction
channel. The message also contains the
time and frequency corrections. The time
corrections allow the mobile to time it's
transmissions so that they reach the
BSS only in the specified slot. The
frequency corrections correct for the
Doppler shift caused by the mobile's
motion.
Apply the time and frequency corrections
Adjust the frequency and timing based
on the advice from the BSS. This step is
required so that transmissions from the
mobile reach the base station at the
precise time and with the correct
frequency.
Tune to the frequency and timeslot
The mobile detunes from the AGCH and
tunes to the specified radio channel.
RR SABM + MM CM SERVICE REQUEST
This is the first message that is sent
after tuning to the channel. The Mobile
TCH, SAPI = 0
initiates a LAPm connection with the
BSC by sending a Set Asynchronous
Balanced Mode (SABM) message. The
service request message meant for the
MSC is also sent in this message.

Check subscriber authentication
MSC checks if the subscriber has been
authenticated. In this case, the
subscriber has already been
authenticated, so the authentication
procedure is skipped.
Enable Ciphering
BSSMAP CIPHER MODE COMMAND
Since the subscriber has been
successfully authenticated, the MSC
initiates ciphering of the data being sent
on the channel. The channel is ciphered
so as so protect the call from
eavesdropping.
Expect ciphered data from the mobile
Ciphering on the radio link is enabled in
three steps. As a first step, the BSS
starts expecting ciphered data from the
mobile but continues to send data in
clear. Since the mobile has not been
informed about the ciphering, all data
received from the mobile will be in error.
RR CIPHERING MODE COMMAND
The BSS sends the CIPHERING MODE
COMMAND to the mobile. The mobile
mode = CLEAR
will be able to receive this message as
the transmission from the BSS is still in
clear.
Enable ciphering for received and transmitted
As a second step, the Mobile receives
data
the message and enables ciphering in
transmit and receive directions. This
action will result in all BSS data being
received in error. (The BSS is still
transmitting data in clear.)
RR CIPHERING MODE COMPLETE
Ciphering has already been enabled, so
this message is transmitted with
mode = CIPHERED
ciphering. The BSS will receive this
message as it is already expecting
ciphered data in the receive direction.
Enable ciphering of data transmitted to the
The third and final step in the ciphering

handshake. The BSS enables the
ciphering in transmit direction. From this
point on ciphering is enabled in both
directions.
BSSMAP CIPHER MODE COMPLETE
BSS replies back to the MSC, indicating
that ciphering has been successfully
enabled.
RR Connection Establishment Completed
At this point a connection has been setup between the Mobile and the MSC. From this point onward, the BSS is just acting as a conduit for
transporting the signaling messages between the Mobile and the MSC.

Are there free map updates for the Magellan maestro 3225?
Yes. Updates are available at www.magellangps.com. You'll need to register at the site. I just bought a 3140 and it came with 1.x firmware. The Magellan site has 2.x which runs MUCH better and fixed the name of my road too. Check under "Support" page at the site, and follow along. May need to use the "Maggie" AI tool at the site to select your Maestro 3140. Then she'll give you some options. When you find a 60MB download, that's the one. Instructions are included in the ZIP file. Basically, unzip the files, run the .EXE, connect the 3140 via supplied USB cable to your PC and follow along. *DO NOT* loose power during the upgrade or the unit *WILL BE* unusable. FULLY charged internal battery or use the 12V car adapter.
Can you charge your gps with a cell phone charger?
Yes, you can charge your GPS device with a cell phone charger if the charger's output matches the power requirements of your GPS device. Make sure to check the voltage and current ratings on both the charger and the GPS device to avoid damaging the device.
Can you take a gps system on an airplane?
Yes, you can take a GPS system on an airplane. It is allowed in carry-on or checked luggage according to TSA regulations. However, make sure to check with your airline for any specific guidelines they might have.
