How do you keep Kratos Aurion in Tales of Symphonia?
After Altessa gets sick, you go to Flanoir to find the doctor and bring him to Altessa so he can get better. But Lloyd stays behind along with about 3 other randomly selected characters. You must refuse everyone who comes to your door, then Kratos will come and he'll tell you about Anna, and his connection with Yuan and Yggdrasill. The only real catch to this is that when you go to the Tower of Salvation for the second or third time, you must fight and kill Zelos. You get an awesome costume for Kratos, though.
What do you mean? When he leaves...at the end of the game? Or when he turns bad...well at the end of the game Derris-Kharlan starts to leave and Kratos goes with it wheter you want him to or not...Kratos joins Lloyd after the tree goes wrong and then Lloyd finds out that Kratos is his real father...and to get to the eternal sword Kratos has to die...IDK what you mean in the game we can't choose to keep him?
I'm not exactly ing, but the people who come to your door are the people that are closest to you, Lloyd. The first person is always Colette because she is closest to Lloyd wether you like it or not, while the second and third people are people that you chose to be closest to. For example, lets say your favorite playable characters (not counting Lloyd and Kratos) are Sheena and Regal. If you have done all of Sheena's sidequests, scenes, and given her a costume at every chance you get then she will come to you. If you were to give Regal almost every costume, scene and sidequest, then he will knock on your door aswell. But Sheena will knock after Colette because you are closer to her than you are to Regal. Also, you don't get Kratos until nearly the end. So you have to go through a while with only seven people in your party. But Kratos is way worth it.
That's not completely true about Colette being first. Who ever is first depends on what you've done throughout the game to change the affection system. During my first play through of Tales of Symphonia, Genis was the closest to Lloyd instead of Colette. I'm playing it now, and Kratos is the closest to Lloyd, and he offered to speak to Lloyd first.
