If you mean by vigilante missions in a police car, no. This was removed from GTA V. However it might be added back in, as part a of future patch, because of so many complaints about it being removed.

Carry out all missions successfully, and the majority of these will pay well. There are side jobs that Niko can undertake, running errands for Jacob, jacking vehicles for Brucie and eventually find vehicles for Steve, doing taxi jobs for Roman, etc. When you have found all 30 of the vehicles for Stevie, you can continue to find vehicles and drive them to his garage to collect the reward. There is always the vigilante work for the cops as well, and the Alderney assassin jobs.

A good way to get loads of money fairly easily is to jack the Gruppe security trucks carrying money, which you will see driving around various areas. Drive the vehicle to a secluded spot and either throw a grenade under the back, or aim an RPG at the rear doors, once these have blown off, the money will be thrown out all over the place, and Niko has a limited amount of time to quickly scoop up the money before it disappears, and to get the hell out of the area as the police hear the explosion and try to find him.

You can pick fights with gangster types in places like Hove Beach and Alderney City, sometimes it is surprising how much money they drop when you defeat them.

Hi yea, I am able to play GTA IV at about 35 frames per second witch is not excellent but an enjoyable performance with my GeForce 8600GT, 3gb transcend RAM and Vista SP1.. I can set the texture quality at medium and rest on high.. But you will need 2 tweak your CPU a bit (I had 2). Use Dual core center to do this for safe performance, just use the D.O.T. technology and it'd work just fine.. Just check that your E2180 doesn't run above 60-65'C.. Otherwise you will shorten it's lifespan.. This I've done for some while now without any malfunctions and any extra fans or cooling, witch might also be a good idea if you could get hold of some..

Personally though I shot Derrick; given the choice between a corrupt police commissioner, and someone who betrayed his friend, sorry, I let the cop live. If Francis did not become Police Commissioner someone else would have anyway; Francis lives, HE is the corrupt comissioner. Francis dies, someone else is the crooked cop, since you're gonna get a dirty cop on the comissioner seat no matter what, the logical choice was the drug addict traitor. I know its just a video game, but the way Derrick betrayed that guy just really pissed me off; given the choice I couldn't wait to snipe him. Also, every time I beat the game I always let Kate die just so what's his face prison rapist who helped his brother betray that guy would suffer. Kate never put out for Niko anyway! Bros before Hos man, and Roman IS Niko's cousin!!!!

If you are playing GTA IV on a games disk, then it could be that the disk is at fault. The first two GTA IV games disks I had were faulty like this, but I changed them each time, and the last disk I had is absolutely fine. If you can play other games on your console and they are OK, then it would point to this. You could also ask a friend who has the same game to loan you their disk and then see how it plays on your console. If their copy is fine, then you would seem to have a disk problem.
