Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

In GTA Vice city U can go to downtown and somewhere around the FIre station you will see some bushes.

• Go through them and take a right turn to find ladders going onto a roof where you will find a MAVERICK. U can do VIgilante missions through it.

(The other heli must be SPARROW but i m not sure though)

The normal way is to enter the cheat "come fly with me" (no spaces) but this way isn't the ideal one as the car will not fly but only hover for some time (the faster the car, the longer it will hover).

To make a car really fly, follow the following procedure.

1. Open your game directory.
2. Find a folder named "Data".
3. In it, you will find a file named handling.cfg, remove the read-only check from the properties.
4. Open it with a text editor (preferably Notepad).
5. In the left-most column, you can see the shortened names of all the vehicles.
6. Select a specific vehicle e.g. an Admiral in this case.
7. In the column B i.e. the fMass column, enter a very high number e.g. 900000. This will increase the mass of your vehicle to the given number.
8. In the column N i.e. TransmissionData.fMaxVelocity column, enter a high value e.g. 360. It will change the speed of the vehicle to the given number.
9. Optional: In the column O i.e. TransmissionData.fEngineAcceleration column, enter a high number e.g. 30. This will increase your vehicle's speed to the given number.
10. Save the changes made to the file.

Now, the difficult part is over. Here is how you can exploit these changes in-game.

1. Start the GTA Vice City game.
2. Load a saved game or start a new game.
3. In the game, enter the car of choice (Admiral in this case).
4. Find a clear stretch of road like the airport runway.
5. Drive the car at a high speed.
6. Pause the game using the escape key.
7. Now, enter the cheat "come fly with me" (again, no spaces)
8. Resume the game.
9. Voila! You will find your car taking off the ground.
10. Use the dodo-up and dodo-down keys to control the altitude.

To Land the car, follow the following instructions:

1. Take the car to a clear stretch of road.
2. Lower it using the dodo-down key to nearly ground level.
3. As soon as you touch the ground, pause the game using the escape key.
4. Re-enter the cheat to de-activate it.
5. Resume the game and apply both brakes at the same time (the car will be pretty unstable).

Notes:

1. It is better to tweak on of the cars that are available using cheat codes e.g. the Sabre Turbo (get there fast), so that you can access your flying car at a moment's notice.
2. Tweak unique cars like the Sabre Turbo so that the NPCs don't give you a trouble.
3. Never tweak the Police cars in this way, this makes playing the game a pain.
4. This method doesn't work for bikes.
5. The units used in the handling.cfg are kg for mass, m/s for velocity and m/s2 for acceleration.

Precautions:

1. Before you tweak the handling.cfg file, make sure to create a back-up copy.
2. A major draw-back of a heavy car is that once it turns turtle, it is nearly impossible to stop it, unless you get lucky and find an immobile obstacle like a building in your way, it will explode.

in the viceport is a small red plane take it and you can fly.
