I had a guinea Pig, It was about 5 when it started having some of those symptoms. I took him to the vet and they said he had his teeth going in making it unable for him to move his tongue really. so he had to get them clipped. after that they gave us soem soft food to feed him. After that every thing went down hill He didn't swallow it really, and it was just filling up in his mouth. Eventually He passed away one night. :(
